Cool Ideas Black Friday Deal

I have received confirmation from my ISP that they have applied to Vumatel for the line release but Vumatel have not actioned this as yet. Will I still qualify for the deal if Vumatel does not release the line timeously?? I have had to pay for December plus a R3k cancellation so hoping this all works out.
The line release is done via a portal, but will check on our side.
 
I applied for the vumatel deal this morning and received an email at 18:37 stating that my address is currently not available for order placement, the ETA for premise creation is within 48hrs, Due to that it disqualifies me for the black Friday special...
It's a new install, no fibre line in the house house yet...
Vumatel, Vox and Vodacom have been promoting fibre in my area since last week. They said it's live and I have checked coverage...

Edit: Received another email at 18:54. Stating,
1. for me to qualify for the black Friday special my order must be placed with Vumatel by 28/11/2022 COB meaning the line can be activated at any point from then - I placed my order at 10:15 this morning...
2. request my previous ISP to action an immediate release so we can place the order sooner for you to migrate to the special - I do not have a previous ISP, it's a new line installation...

What's your ref, again as mentioned its just a systems thing so Vumatel would need to honour the special.
 
I have the same issue but it seems cool ideas and home connect are not playing ball

I got an email at 2:30 asking to cancel my current ISP immediately, even though I applied yesterday. It seems the ISPs are making it extra difficult to close the deal

As mentioned in the other thread these are the instructions from Vumatel, I'll follow up with the team.

Feedback we have is that the line hasn't been released as yet, who was your existing ISP?

I guess vuma pockets a migration fee from the churn :ROFL:
 
So I'm another one who didn't make the migration cut off (mutter Vumatel not releasing line) - yet my line has been dead since early afternoon - so I am indeed cut off :ROFL:

I'm thankful for LTE and the Cool Ideas follow ups - and I'm hopeful Vumatel gets their ass kicked and honours the deals they clearly didn't plan for (and DDoS'd themselves with).

Oddly I just rebooted the ONT now and I get what according to Speedtest is an Afrihost IP (yet it's different to the IP in my Afrihost clientzone panel. Am I perhaps on a Cool Idea's IP now?),

Still not released, and as such not moved: #COOL-20221127-1070171

Vumatel are too busy klapping their marketing guys who inevitably DDoS'd them with admin work.
(imagine they had 10+- BF ISP partners, each of those is submitting probably thousands of orders - and their poor admin staff probably can't keep up).
 
Sjo what an admin headache this must be! Fibre is not as simple and to do all this in a day, you must have balls to run a special like this on Fibre.

A Vuma technician visited and initiated the line release because Vuma swapped my ONT a few months back which caused some confusion for them, currently no service. She also confirmed that the line was activated for Coolideas. I just need my login details, can you kindly follow up.

Vumatel has stated that they have deprovisioned the line on the previous ISP's side and the activation is currently in progress with the CISP order. Our connect team, will revert back to you with more information soonest.
