So it looks like the bursting packet loss is back on Octotel.

My main issue is that they were down for ~12 or more hours and never responded to any of our calls, (there were a few of us neighbours who reported they were down).

I _just_ got a response from them, (the first one since I logged a call at 9pm last night), telling me everything is ok on their end I should check my side.

Their customer support is shocking to say the least.

Unfortunately the circumstances were unique, this is the unfortunate side affects that can happen when you change Longhaul carrier provider. With the outage there is a massive backlog of tickets to address. We are changing ticket systems etc to address this kind of delay.

So it's peak time again, and guess what? Twitch is buffering. I will be phoning in tomorrow. Sick of this. 2+ weeks with no response to my ticket.

Also: Even with the proxy, there is still buffering. This is a damn 6Mbps video stream! What's the point of paying for 100Mbps?!

My throughput is fine to london however twitch buffers because I have bursting packet loss.

Yeah my line isn't looking super good either, and this is local, should be 0%

I just wish CISP would actually assist, considering the fault most likely lies with Vumatel.

Throughput to London is now diminishing and twitch along with it.

Octotel 100/25, Cape Town, Southern Suburbs.

Its probably being caused by:

iperf Done.

The proxy doesn't fix it.

Well at least I got 15 days out of the Octotel upgrade. That was nice of them.

I was just about to post the exact same thing!

Twitch is now not working proxy or no.

latency looks good so its not congestion.

So my question now is. Since we're having the exact same issues at the same time on opposite sides of cape town, is this CISP that's the issue or twitch?

How do I go about getting another router? The wireless signal on this TPLink is absolutely atrocious, to the point where I think the router must be faulty. It loses connection when I'm in the next room!
