Getting 800KB/sec upload to a server on Hetzner in Germany at the moment. Last night I could barely achieve half line speed on NNTP to tweaknews again. Hot garbage for a 200/200 line, sorry to say.
What results do you get on an international Speedtest? From there it's iperf tests etc.

Are you using our DNS server? If you are try switching to 1.1.1.1 it's possible it's a limitation from our Akamai cluster.
Yes i'm using the CISP default DNS. Using 1.1.1.1 made no difference.

CISP DNS:

@PBCool

Are there any issues with Vumatel in Farrarmere / Benoni?
Noticed a marked increase in ping times on the first hop when hitting Cool Idea's network - 155.93.236.1 .
The same time this happened my uploads to both local and intl have been slower than before.

200/150 instead of the usual 200/200 on local with uploads to Coreix going from 70-100 now down to anything between 9 and 20.

Local test on the 21st

Today.

If there is nothing on our announcements page it's nothing we are aware of, that first hop is on Vumatels network, 155.93.236.1 is one of our IPs but it resides on their router, from there it's handed off to us. Increased latency on a single hop is nothing to worry about, it's if it's 1) Consistent along the path 2) Increases along the path then it's a concern.

Hi there...

I live in Uitzicht in the Northern Subs of CPT and the provider is Vuma.
As mentioned previously Vumatel has scheduled upgrades and maintenance on the 11th of June in Cape Town. I would monitor it for a few days and if it's consistently degraded log a ticket and let me know.

Highest international speedtest I've gotten this month:

Local in comparison:

Don't think you'll sort out my international by the time I leave.

I've had this line since Feb and have never gotten the proper speed international, 50Mbps is about the limit, that package is R100pm cheaper, and my international in the last month has been closer to 20/20, a package R200 cheaper.

That's 2.5x100 and 1x200 = R450 difference. I'll ask for that in the refund, maybe even argue that you should cover my re-activation with another ISP, but you guys did absorb that so it's fine I guess.

And if you do iperf tests now?
Interestingly there's some loss and a metric ton of "Out of order" packets on international now. (I snipped a ton of them to fit under the post limit) Local seems fine:

Code:
