Dissapointed by Cool Ideas, not even their own policy will protect them under the circumstances. The competition who have been attacked seemed to have combated the DDoS with success, but CISP got their teeth knocked out.

Connectivity is dead at my side.

I totally get that, but lets not make a mountain out of mole hill. This has not been downtime for "months on end", combined from the previous attack - probs a total of a week downtime ? Other than that my internet has been pretty stable otherwise.

I Just don't understand the logic and hate towards any ISP whom are trying to fix, correct and ensure in future they can make sure a DDOS attack has a smaller impact to the customer. No ISP will be able to prevent a well executed DDOS attack.

Perhaps the person/group that is doing all this this is just that much better then the person trying to fix it. I think cool ideas has done a great job at ensuring an update on there website every 2 hours (Below updates) now and trying there hardest and most like working through the night and today this sorted for US.

Update 24 Nov 13:45: Cool Ideas engineers are continuing to work on restoring international connectivity.

Cool Ideas engineers are currently investigating and hope to have the matter resolved soon.

That’s fantabulous! I’m glad you’re enjoying a poor internet experience and only focusing on “customer service” while I get both customer service and usable internet during the weekend. I’m streaming away anything I want from Netflix to CinemaHD with RD. Enjoy spending your cash on unusable internet LOL!

More than 24hrs later , same problem with international access.

DDOS for over 24hrs ? ye right, we are making history here folk, CISP is the most important service provider in the world getting this much attention. *cough*
Hardly, recent DDOS attacks have clocked in at over 500 hours.

That being said, 30 hours downtime over a weekend is getting excessive. I think it's the longest amount of time I have had disrupted connectivity (that's not related to a cable fault) since I started paying for my own internet 15 years ago.

Correct, but ISPs do differ in how fast they can mitigate attacks. I have no idea how Cool Ideas stacks up against Afrihost/Vox/Others in this department.

Then legit why are you here? I don't understand what gain you have to be bashing an ISP trying to fix the issue unless you are also affected?

100%, and I am sure CISP will take all this data and try different solutions to better mitigate attacks in the future. I doubt they enjoying this one bit, imagine working through the weekend and then coming to read this thread...

What I find so weird is I'm an internet junky and I look at this situation and go "Okay. Guess I'm going to read a book, go do some training, or hang out with my friends for a while until this **** gets sorted out". I would love to be playing Apex Legends or something else right now, but I can't. Yet there are people here who are ranting like it's going to change things? It's like these people never grew up. Log a complaint and either wait for it be resolved or vote with your wallet. Bitching ain't gonna change anything.

I just tried playing Apex. The Belgium server said 0% packet loss, but what a lie that was.

I've never lagged so hard in my entire life.

No thank you. I’m not interested in CISP’s issues. I don’t need them spamming me BS. Kthnxbye.

Well then stay the **** in your Websquad forum and don't poke your head out unless you are called from your basement for lunch. You jumped ship ages ago so nobody cares about your rants/opinions/ramblings. Kthnxbye.

Connectivity is dead at my side.

This is exactly the problem, CISP are dropping the ball big time with whatever DDoS mitigation strategies they're employing.

Legit why I am here is because I still cannot fathom the willingness of some of you to continue paying for a non functional service. Again, this is not the first time and clearly CI cannot resolve this. I left CI the minute they told me they cannot offer me 1000/100 when another ISP did and hey I’m on 1000/100. But alright then, I’m happy to leave this thread, only thing is my current ISP’s thread is silent so clearly no issues so I can’t hang around there.

Dammit man! You had to name my ISP. I don’t like you very much. We won’t be friends.

Keep being nasty because you don’t like what I have to say.

Well appreciate the honesty, but bashing another thread and its userbase for sticking around is odd. Have a great weekend further.
