Strange that these attacks happen like within 40 minutes of a CISP rep posting that they have an update for us and have dealt with most of the attack.

It was on speedtest and also downloads via steam and origin. I know that the CISP website that the 1000/100 is local only, which is why i'm surprised that his (Jannier https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/cool-ideas-fibre-isp-–-feedback-thread-2.1027306/post-24492055) results so almost 900 to London!

They don't currently limit it to 100mbps even though it is stated there. Atm you will get up to 1000mb to international depending on the current network load at cisp.

huh??? I'm on the same package and i get nowhere near those speeds to London. I get a 100 at best to london and maybe 500-600 local. this was before the DDOS of this weekend
Then there is a problem with your fibre or your area or Pop is congested.
I get 170 - 180 Mbps on a single thread

EDIT: and Local

My package was upgraded just over a week ago, and not once have i had more than 100/100 to London or anywhere of the EU speedtest sites.

Mr 5 posts.
If that's supposed to mean I'm some kind of troll, I am not. I just have had little use for my MyBB account until now where I feel like I can contribute, I even forgot I had one. I do not plan on moving isp, I have liked cisp the few months we've had it. I understand a DDoS attack is very hard to mitigate.

This is a feedback thread right? My feedback is I am currently not able to use CoD Mobile because of the DDoS attack I assume, it was working for about 20/30 mins beforehand. Otherwise, YouTube, reddit, whatsapp, instagram, netflix and most other sites are fine as far as I can tell.

I just want to know one thing, or maybe it's just me being suspicious but why whenever there's major issues with CISP these low post dormant accounts keeps popping up in the thread adding white noise to it rather than meaningful feedback
I don't know about these other accounts, but I had no use for my mybb account that I made a while back until I moved house and started using cisp and found this thread. I've been lurking for a while as most issues that came up either didn't impact me or topics weren't interesting to me. Now this is one that has impacted me so I thought I should contribute.

Looks like the CISP engineers and techs are getting little to no sleep this weekend. I have a feeling we are not helping posting when it’s working and when it’s not, and CISP posting causes the script kiddies to start again or pivot. They are definitely watching CISP feedback channels to respond so quickly.

This is now:

International dead atm.
Like I said I'll check again once they have resolved all their issues and it's running consistently.

It also highly depends on the speedtest server, not all are equal and can handle 1Gbps.
This is a test just now with the MYBB speed test server, you can find it top right corner of the MYBB Website

Ping: 1ms
Download: 948.76Mbps
Upload: 103.85Mbps

What equipment are you using for the link ?
The gigabit router supplied to me by yourselves. But its not a train smash, at this stage you have bigger issues to worry about than my minor query. When you all sorted out that side and you have caught up on some sleep we can look into it.

I've been using NordVPN (Server 53) from about 17h30 (signed up for their one month option).

Initially, set the router to funnel everything but Netflix didn't like it so that was a no-go.

Running only on my PC from around 19h00 and it's been usable at least (well, I've been able to game a bit, fair amount of latency but stable and usable at least).

It's really a pity that Netflix refuses to run due to detecting that you're running through a VPN otherwise I'd configure the whole network here at home to run via the VPN.
