I had a bit of rubberbanding on occasion
Had a little bit of packet loss but didn't play for long only like 15 minutes or so when people were saying the worst was over... shortly after i logged off apparently international died again..

Yeah good question. I went and bought some Ubiquiti hardware and was only pushing around 600Mbps. Turns out my CPU on my router was hitting 100% and actually couldn’t handle 1Gbps.
imho, you need one of those gaming routers for R5000 for gigabit.

I have had luck with the RT Asus AC86U. Just one thing to note it doesn't support completely seamless handoff, otherwise I am pretty happy with it.

Honestly i am so bummed at CISP now. I gave them a chance and another and another. But this weekend showed me it just isnt going to work out.

Its not me, its you.

I hope Mybb write another article on the most stable ISP's in SA, instead of 'who is the best'. So I can make a proper choice towards my next ISP.

First mistake is making a decision based on MYBB journalism.

Please just make sure that the ISP gives you a 100% guarantee that they will never ever suffer any downtime for any reason including DDoS attacks, then you should be good to go.

Aah that may be the problem. I don't think the hardware in those routers can cope with 1Gbps.
I use a mikrotik router and Ubiquity access point to handle the speed.
I have at times got 700 local, but never near that for international. Once @TheRoDent has had some sleep and can see straight after this weekend I'll take it up with him or one of the other guys to get it sorted and see where the issue lies.
