@PBCool Is everything okay with the CPT proxy, could the link be saturated? It does not seem to be helping at all tonight in terms of international throughput, or could that be my line?

As an old avid supporter of Cool Ideas whom recommended you to all my friends you have sunk so far Telkom is better. There should be a disclaimer on your site saying not recommended for gaming due to high latency. I told every friend I have on social media to avoid cool ideas at all costs, it is deplorable whom a great company has become

Hello,
I am a new Cool Ideas customer I have a 50/50 Clear Access line and it only seems to run at around 47/20...The 47 down I can handle, it is close enough but the upload is a lot lower than I expect, I have also had the line drop out completely a number of times...I have logged a call, I hoped that my first fibre experience would be better...Is it just bad luck are there issues or is this something related to the infrastructure provider?

I guess you have to now choose what you require...

Keep getting disconnects that last for like 5 seconds every 20 mins or so. Anything broken?

Cool Ideas seem to be complete garbage lately, persistent problems popping up the last few months?

From my earlier post I find this private ip being reachable the most surprising and bizarre situation. Anyone else able to ping private ips such as these from their connection or know wtf this is ?

For the last couple of months every second night around this exact time the CISP backbone seems to fail with packetloss similar to what is shown here.

The packetloss at the c2l-backone shows 0 packetloss when there is no issue so the packetloss shown here is not some normal dropped packets. Whenever this starts to show up the international traffic to US seem to fall apart and unreachable on and off.

Also what the hell is taht 192.168.1.5 hop showing up midway, wtf I retested over and over and it keeps showing up cause I thought something went wrong with WinMTR.

Also I don't understand why am I picking up this private ip over the CISP network ? Surely this should not be happening ?

It is perfectly legal to use private IP's especially on point to point links.

We don't do that but others may. That hop is not on the CISP network, so entirely out of our control.

Just because it seems wrong, doesn't mean it's impossible.
