Not blaming anyone, issue with the international carrier to London again, just before 19:00 then a switch of path at 19:00 then back to normal again. I have escalated to their exco.

And hence the change in carrier, not as much of an issue in Cape Town but still some minor loss.

If we don't get any relative feedback by tomorrow we will switch to an alternative carrier until the new capacity is implemented.

Why do we not just stay on the alternative path? What is the reason to constantly be flip flopping between them? You and everyone is aware its unstable so it just causes huge frustrations across the board. People can deal with increased latency, packet loss a different issue.

It's not that simple unfortunately, using our backup transit is generally there for emergencies only, IE undersea cable failure etc. To migrate the whole network over can cause a bunch of other discrepancies due to other upstreams, carriers etc.

So doing so needs to take quite a bit of motivation, so will see what feedback I get tomorrow and will update on the plan forward.

Apologies for the frustration caused!

Hi @PBCool

My packetloss adventures with Vumatel continue even after the big CPT upgrades - although peak hours seem to have improved a bit.

Could you please escalate my ticket yet again? I've attached to the ticket some more iperfs and speedtests from the past couple of evenings (as requested by Gumani).

Example: this is a 10M receive from right now (keep in mind that I have a 100/100 line)

Connecting to host trcvmh01.cisp.co.za, port 17001
Reverse mode, remote host trcvmh01.cisp.co.za is sending

That is without proxy connected directly to the router open serve 20/10 almost tempted to go back to ttconnect for the speed
Ok the Speedtest you submitted on the ticket is via the proxy, it will need to be logged with Openserve. We are looking to take orders again on TTConnect btw.

The proxy is only configured on my laptop, and not on the desktop that the Speedtest came from?

Are tt-connect still using the planet FRT-415N with wifi antenna hacked off. Sure a lot of issues would be removed if they upgraded them.

Ok whatever logged the ticket had the proxy IP which is why I thought so. Do you get the same result using the proxy?
