Hi @PBCool Any idea what's happening with the routing to Telkom's network? This is to their CPT speedtest server
Code:
Tracing route to 196.25.37.14 over a maximum of 30 hops

  1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms router.local [192.168.1.1]
  2 3 ms 5 ms 1 ms 155.93.238.1
  3 2 ms 2 ms 2 ms 155.93.240.33
  4 1 ms 1 ms 2 ms 154.0.1.125
  5 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 154.0.1.13
  6 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 154.0.2.57
  7 141 ms 140 ms 140 ms 154.0.4.122
  8 141 ms 140 ms 140 ms 154.0.5.18
  9 142 ms 141 ms 141 ms lon-ip-hsll-1.telkom-ipnet.co.za [195.66.226.42]
 10 144 ms 142 ms 143 ms 10.189.30.1
 11 143 ms 142 ms 142 ms 10.189.10.2
 12 143 ms 143 ms 143 ms wblv-ip-hsll-1-gig-0-0-0.telkom-ipnet.co.za [196.43.39.62]
 13 144 ms 149 ms 143 ms 196.25.37.2
 14 143 ms 143 ms 143 ms 196.25.37.14

Anyone else having issues with torrents ?

Its like CISP is actively killing torrents all of a sudden, I have torrents at sites that up until just few days ago was getting full speed on. Now when I start the torrent it barely starts and instantly throttles down to 0 and stays there no matter how many seeds.

@PBCool you guys throttling/blocking torrents now ?

Over VPN the same torrents work as they should.

@PBCool A hop has changed when tracing to "195.82.50.47" adding 20ms. Previous traces had "154.0.4.162" new one has "154.0.2.94" adding 20ms compared to the 3.6ms.

Nothing from our side, are you connecting your VPN from your PC or a router?

From PC. The last 2 days torrents have completely dropped off instantly to 0 and just stays there without using the VPN.

Ive had the same situation before back in ADSL days with certain ISP's who throttled torrents which is why I asked about it.

No problems when I try, is your torrent client and firewall setup correctly?

It's managed on a case by case portion, outbound is fixed, return we need to deal with the respective network. Do you have the example for me?

Yep. As I stated on the same setup hooking up VPN eliminates the problem. I have no firewall on the fibre router enabled just to be sure in both cases and only without the VPN no torrent activity seems to work for the last 2days.

I will test again tomorrow, its not a major concern for me right this moment but just found it odd.

any update on 1gbps on vuma aerial?
Push towards websquad as I think they only ones who support this at the moment on Vuma aerial
Last I recall cisp wasn't keen due to quality of giving that speeds to users on a shared GPOn network
