@PBCool I am fedup with the inconsistant connectivety. I am sitting with a 650ms latency currently and below 1Mbps download speed. This is now happening every week. What the hell is going on and what is going to be done about this? I cant even do proper tests.
650ms to where? Do you have an MTR for me?

Does anyone know how it works if you move to a new place but the previous tenant didn't cancel their service? I applied to move my 200/200 service to the new premises, but the CPE still stuck on his 20/20 service, which is not ideal, seeing as I'm paying for 200.

Is there a way I can force his service to stop and mine to start?

It's very difficult, who is the 20/20 with?

Looks like Mweb. Is there nothing I can do? It would be sad to pay for 200Mbps and only get 20Mbps because of something outside of my control.

It's complicated, as you can imagine Mweb doesn't want to release the line until they are paid up. Please PM me the details.

PBCool - I am really trying to join you and have been for the past 2 months...this is not going anywhere, and migrating to you seems impossible?

This morning I am told my line is in the holding pool (finally, after a 1 month wait) and that the request has been placed with OpenService to assign the line to CISP...and 4 hours later I am informed that this is not the case?

I have tried everything from my side, but seems CISP cannot takeon new customers? Should I have rather stayed with my old ISP, where I never had these issues when joining them...

Openserve can be tricky with their portal going offline quite often, we will release lines and other ISPs wont be able to claim them, then it's a manual thing with OS. So their processes aren't exactly slick. But feel free to escalate with me if you need to.

So my downgrade kicked in today. 200/200 -> 100/100.

Since my line could only manage about 12-15MB/sec on NNTP with a ton of connections, I figured at 100mbps it would be full line speed. Fired up an NNTP download and was seeing anywhere between 7-11MB/sec, mostly around 9-10MB/sec. I was ready to start complaining at someone, when something made me change to the Usenet provider's US servers. Instant. Line. Speed. Switch back to EU - unreliable garbage.

Can only conclude your current EU carrier is a mess of epic proportions. Now I'm wondering if I hadn't downgraded and had tried US-based downloads, if I could've maxed out my line even at 200mbps.

@PBCool - are upgrades also restricted to being actioned on the 1st of each month like downgrades?
