Hi Guys, quick question. Does CISP throttle/shape RD traffic?
I'm not on cool ideas but no they don't throttle or shape any traffic as far as I'm aware and by the numbers of cool ideas IP's on 4K movies on Public trackers I would say people are going big. :D

@PBCool I just want to say that Twitch has been absolutely amazing for me recently. I know you guys are messing with routes and carriers so I just wanted to give some feedback.

Keep up the good work

Haven't been able to reach line speed on NNTP since you guys switched back over to HE from Cogent last week. So first I couldn't hit over 14MB/sec on 200mbps, and now I can't go over 10MB/sec on 100mbps. Smells fishy to me.

We haven't done the switch to HE, still using both carriers in London.

Have you tried both the US and UK nodes again?

US is going over HE, no?
A bit more complicated than that, because we peer in NY now some traffic will go that path. With HE being a large network in the US it may currently route via London and then the US. If the destinations path via Cogent in shorter it would use Cogents network. But we haven't changed anything.

I'm curious and rather frustrated at what I'm seeing then. I thought the downgrade from 200 > 100mbps would at least guarantee me line speed for what I'm paying for since I could reliably achieve ~14MB/sec before, yet now when literally the only thing that's changed on my side is the speed of the line, I'm once again not able to reliably get line speed for downloads with more than enough threads to saturate it.

Hi @PBCool, I'm on your 100Mb/s symmetric package on SADV's infrastructure. I get almost full line speed for local connections, as evidenced by this speed test: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8397747573

However, when I try to run speed tests to the UK and the US, I'm not anywhere near full line speed. I understand that the latency will be higher.

London, UK: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8397787138

New York, US: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8397801745

@pinball wizard FYI.
Have you logged a ticket and done some iperf tests?

So you are getting the same results to both the UK and the US?

Haven't logged a ticket yet. Also, I'm a noob when it comes to running iperf. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Just log a ticket and state you get poor international performance, request to run IPerfs and they will send through all the steps.

Are you using our router? And obviously these are cabled tests?

Thanks, @PBCool. Will log the ticket.

Nope, not using the Cool Ideas router. I have a Peplink Balance One that I'm using.
