Obviously no loss in there, just to show you the IP's.

Urgh, back to 200ms latency. I still don't really understand why you guys cannot or will not use the SACS route for AWS or Battle.net etc.

Our battle.net peers are up to NY, they don't have presence in South America. When we turnup the AWS peers there are complaints of certain games that force you to use Sao Paulo servers.

Did they upgrade the package to 200/200Mbps ? As I was on 100Mbps

Does the accounts team do the change on the weekend ?

what I got from your team...

Thank you for your interest in upgrading your package.

Please note your Metro fibre line upgrade has been completed.

You are now on a Metro fibre + 100/100.

Our Accounts team will upgrade your services shortly, please note that your new speeds will reflect once you have paid your outstanding invoices. Thereafter you will need to conduct a speed test to ensure the speeds have changed. Please make sure you do a test via an Ethernet cable on www.speedtest.net to the Randburg Cool Ideas server.

Thank you for your patience and we hope you enjoy your new faster speeds!
@PBCool

can you check on this for me ?

Why would it matter if you play Sao Paulo or EU. (Unless you play with friends on EU)
Because some games don't let you choose the server you want and then you try and play at noon our time on a Saturday but it's 07:00 in Sao Paulo and now you can't find a game.

Sadly Pubg's developers had to disable their server select option because their EU servers got bombarded by Chinese hackers in the beginning so they the reason and a few other games we can't use that route, i really wanted it for Apex as well but just realised this was the reason it got cut as well. Pubg has a very small player base in Brazil so queue times are horrific and you can only play for a couple hours a day. I use pubg as an example since i know about it but i am sure there are other games too

Makes sense.

And Pubg uses AWS which means that filtering PUBG traffic from Fortnite traffic would be nearly impossible?

Pubg is the only one i know about but there probably are others and i would imagine you would need to filter by individual IP's out and that could be thousands of IP's for each game/service (i don't work in IT just using assumed logic here).

This repair is not going to take as long as the previous one, just be grateful and happy you have internet, a lot of people i know basically have no internet connection at all meanwhile the only issue i have is increased latency. I have had to help so many people with Warp configs to actually be able to use the internet meanwhile Cool Ideas is slaying it again out here with near perfect performance.

REN have tweeted out the company involved are in the process of getting a ship ready and it takes 3 days to get to the fault.

154.0.0.125 is one of our PPPoE servers. and that is your firsthop. Router is fairly idle, so this must be congestion with your FNO. Which network/area?

Exactly that. AWS also uses their own (cheapest transit). So with WACS down, you will see additional latency even with us peering with them directly.
