And what is their excuse now? Also the pinned announcement has not been updated yet. Also it looks like Octotel and the Cape Gate upgrade has been defered till the 3rd of April![]()
Erf. Octotel are so utterly useless. I have little to no faith that anything will be done by 3 April.
Those are extraordinarily high ping times to 192.168.11.6 which is our handover from OpenServe. Which area are you located in ?@TheRoDent
Would this be classified as local congestion on fibre network? (Fibre: Openserve/Telkom) Seems rather high and with no internal load. Download Speeds are not too great too.

This a cabled PC? And where are you located? That latency is terrible.@TheRoDent

This is traceroute from connected Mikrotik that is my gateway device. This a cabled PC? And where are you located? That latency is terrible.
Fromt the latency seems like they are crossing the entire country to get it to our handoff in Cape Town. I recall there was something similar a few days ago. Will ask @PBCoolGeorge, Western Cape

Also, speeds have just tanked quite badly: https://speedtest.mybroadband.co.za/result/12468247
Have an open support case as well: #COOL-20200331-405477

They don't that's just a point to point IP set.I know this is off topic but I've never realised that Openserve use the 192.168.*.* IP range for their infrastructure. Weird.
We regret to inform you that the Cape Gate upgrade project due for completion today has been delayed by further complications. Our Metro provider has communicated a new delivery date for Friday 3 April. We would like to assure that this is being treated with the utmost priority.
Any update on this? Feels like "exchange" congestion to me.Fromt the latency seems like they are crossing the entire country to get it to our handoff in Cape Town. I recall there was something similar a few days ago. Will ask @PBCool
Nothing yet. Looks like a George CPT backhaul issue, but not confirmed. Also from George, Speed completely tanked by -17Mbps from around 4PM today.
Any updates?
Only fibre unfortunately.@TheRoDent can you enable vsdl access for me, or do you only do Fibre?
