I don't really TT, since one can stream (cough) most of what one want these days, but I have done so for two other things I wanted recently.must say torrents are very slow tonight not getting past the 50Mbps mark average 30Mbps
Are you guys going to send out coms about this? Seeing a lot of angry people online already :|We got comms last night that Vumatel are only upgrading the 10Mbps packages first (today), then if all goes well the rest tomorrow.
I have to agree, what nerve to get angry about something they getting for free, it's ridiculous.LOL. People are idjits. I would rather have a working connection that i pay for than double up on ZERO because the FNO breaks it....
Yeah we got it late last night so now trying to mobilise. Are you guys going to send out coms about this? Seeing a lot of angry people online already :|
Will have gone through the process already. Please see if using trcprx01.cisp.co.za:3128 as a HTTP/HTTPS proxy helps your situation at all as a band-aid.
Caveat: it might break speedtest.net due to how they do their Websocket stuff, but try speedtest.co.za or other options.
Edit: whilst 80ms local latency is pretty bad, it's not the worst. The loss etc seems to be more problematic.
Edit: the things we do to work past crippled FNO's![]()

Hostname is just trcprx01.cisp.co.zaReally appreciate the work you guys are doing
Using us-trcprx01.cisp.co.za:3128 as proxy doesn't seem to work at all. Also, can't ping nor traceroute to it as I'm unable to resolve the URL. PS: I am using Cool Ideas DNS.
Update on the current situation regarding traceroute to 1.1.1.1:

Would calling up Telkom and logging a "line fault" perhaps work?Still looks to be taking the national ring to get to CPT.
Line isn't down so wouldn't matter l, still waiting for feedback from our AM.No speed difference between proxy vs no-proxy
