So, @PBCool

Troll here.

For those of us on 1000/100 lines, what is the double your line speed offer?
Maybe, half the service fee?

No change on the 1000/100 service, it's a commercial product dictated by Vumatel. So feel free to ask them :)

I would have hoped that Openserve might surprise us with a nice 400/200 or 1000/500 package . Wonder what it will cost.

With the new IP Connect model things will now be in line with pink. Doubt we will see more than 400 but maybe a 400 or 500Mbps download and 250Mbps upload would be nice.

Cant wait for MFN to drop interconnect fees and drop a 500 and 1000mbps packages.

But that's probably a pipe dream, better chance of vuma buying them I guess...

So my fibre break has been fixed, but only getting 25mbit down on 100/100 package. I have run numerous tests and they all flatline on 25mbit.

@PBCool @TheRoDent Can you check for me?

UPDATE: It looks like Octotel just started 'latency' throttling 5 minutes ago (after running these tests). Might be related.

Octotel seems to add artificial latency to ease congestion. This seems to have an impact on speeds too.

I doubt. That won't ease congestion at all. Might slow down single threaded tcp connections to high latency destinations like EU and US but that would be on the ISPs network so why would they do that.

Hence why I put it in quotes. They toggle something hard that makes my normal ping of 2ms go up to 10ms.
