Yeah, seems I was mistaken, it's not a regular product. SADV will be upgrading 200Mbps speeds to 500Mbps speeds during the double up promotions as a "Proof of Concept", so just hold out.

We are evaluating how and when we participate in SADV's Corona Double Speed promotions and will communicate once we are ready.

Interested to see if/when this happens. Just upgraded to 200/100 last month, been with CISP SADV for almost 3 years. Thanks for the great service.

@PBCool You can probably update https://coolzone.cisp.co.za/announcements.php?announcement=3487-cape-gate-7 to say that you are receiving reports that work has been completed. Obviously only resolve when told by Octotel.

Quite the triple whammy for me (and Octotel Cape Gate users) at 17:00

1. Octotel fixed backhaul
2. Octotel increased 25mbit limit back to normal
3. WACS got reconnected

Octotel just slightly edged WACS it seems, but it so close.

The Octotel upgrade has allowed me to do something that stopped working 3 months after I got fiber (around Aug 2018).

This is streaming to Youtube at 25mbit (1440p60)

AS @TheRoDent say, it is all down to packetloss.

Het boggerol nou Clearly they did a decent job this time.

Edit: Sorry for the spam again, but 18 months of subpar internet going back to normal is something of joy.

I didnt know Octotel did 1GB packages (would have been a joke before!)

A bunch of FNOs followed suit when Vumatel released "the special" 1Gbps service. But from what I'm aware Clear Access hasn't yet.

This is the advantage of being an ISP and an FNO, but will see what I can dig up.

A while back RSAWeb actually dropped proces on the 1Gbps Octotel to R1395. So not surprised at all that Octotel has congestion in certain areas.

@PBCool or one of the other business partners could probably answer that, but at a hunch, if I look at the general pricing accross their range it probably means their wholesale rates aren't that great.

So looks like we might see 2Tbps only by end of the year at this rate. Awww well.

Now I need new Ip Connect from Openserve so I can hopefully get a speed bump from 200Mbps. 200Mbps is feeling slow

I'm curious what new profiles they'd offer. I was on gigabit on vuma before i moved because it costed the same as 200mbps, but as much as i would love more speed i wouldn't be able to justify going higher on openserve if its going to cost like 2k+. You really need to be downloading like 100s of gigs of stuff on a regular basis to justify bumping it up from 200mbps imo or otherwise you're in a household where multiple people are raping that line with big downloads.

Can't get more than 1MB sec upload to Xneelo and a few other test sites,,,,

We don't shape or modify traffic in anyway, is the Xneelo host local or international?
