have you guys recently implemented an SMTP server?? For some reason my Microsoft Mail suddenly started working today and I cant figure out why. Even Microsoft haven't given me a decent answer (I assumed the app now defaulted to an MS SMTP server).
Nope, nothing here.

Not really something served over NAP, international traffic is going crazy though :)
True, But thats the only public frame of reference i know xD

Can see other ISP's using that, so can only imagine what CISP must look like xD

FNB at Durban North have just refused a Cool Ideas Statement (for fibre and voip) as physical address proof for FICA.
They will accept a telkom account as a utility bill but rejected CI as a utility supplier outright.
I know this situation is possible given the skills level at this bank, but how does one overcome this situation?

Try a different person.
Also, if that person also refuse it, ask what is different about the Telkom one being accepted vs the Coolideas one. Like what is missing and then forward into to CISP to let them add that to their invoices if possible.

Hi guys. I've frequently getting drops that last for around 10 seconds, and less frequently drops that last around 2mins. Not seeing anything about it here, so assume it might not be ISP related. How do I go about diagnosing and fixing this? Doesn't seem to be hardware on my side, as network doesn't drop, just seem to lose internet connection.

How are you detecting these drops. What does a traceroute or MTR to 154.0.0.1 look like during the drops?

Usually know it's happening when I dc off TS. Then just trying to Google something fails and I know it's dropped. Haven't tried doing a tracert yet. Will post on here when it happens.

Have done all that with no success.
FNB have the rudest most unhelpful staff in the banking world. Having accounts with the other banks as well, I can compare and thought I had reach a low point with them....but fnb takes the idea of service and communication to new levels below that which I had thought impossible.

@TheRoDent @PBCool

I have experienced random disconnects over the past month or so but it has never lasted long enough for me to actually call or open a ticket. I have now opened a ticket as this can't continue like this, I'm working from home and need a reliable connection. My connection has dropped twice today.

COOL-20200611-452892

Can you guys please have a look?

@TheRoDent @PBCool This is just me being nosey. Noticed you guys stating that you are offering your own instantEFT payment option. Does that mean you went through the effort of integrating with the banks directly (instead of using an aggregator)? I've always wondered how popular that payment method is, the concept makes me soooo uncomfortable.

We integrated with FNB, so not "instant" unless using pay and clear now from other banks. The amount of resources we had to dedicate assisting people to use payfast was getting ridiculous.

The issue with payfast and instant EFT is the changing reference each month, people actually don't want to manually EFT each month and some also don't want debit order. They want to schedule their EFTs with the same reference, so we've built exactly that.
