@PBCool my internet seems to be disconnecting randomly since today - any ideas / fixes?

Day 16 - still no internet. Between cool ideas and metro fibre, I am really dissapointed.

MFN CEO wont even bother calling me back, vlans supposedly were supposed to be created today, so hope to have you up by tomorrow. Apologies for the delays but I have literally escalated this as much as humanely possible.

I would imagine this may be a line fault then, is it still continuing?

Good part of a day following up with Openserve and we have some feedback:

Good day xxxxx,

There was a system error that caused the line to be on 1meg and UNKNOWN. Our team is working on rectifying this issue.

Port recreate seems to be fixing most issues.

My Openserve is behaving but how on earth is it getting that upload?
Ping: 8.195 ms
Download: 95.11 Mbits/s
Upload: 80.78 Mbits/s

My lack of connection for ticket number COOL-20200810-489840 unfortunately persists. I missed a call from support this morning and the second call was long after the time I said I'd be available.

Thank you. Just hugely frustrating.
I had the same issue with Vodacom. They installed my line but had not set up their network to allow other ISP's. Ended up waiting a few weeks for them to sort it out. It sucks but you should be glad that you have the top CI guys here to help, because the other networks will not be available with top level people to help. You should be mad at the FNO and be on their case about it.

@PBCool Thanks for your assistance today. I also want to say a big thank you to Alex Hlapa from the CI support team. He phoned me twice tonight and with his help most of the problem has been resolved. The speed is still slightly slow but I understand that OpenServe is working on that. Thanks also to Thabo Raborife for trying a few times today to get in touch (unfortunately I missed the calls).

CISP support team are pretty darn good, have had excellent help from Kerry, Ayla and Nikita... A few organisations could learn a thing or two.. Customer support isn't easy but they do make a good go at doing it right

Every night I get 2 or 3 instances of 45 seconds of completely dead internet.
Any idea what's going on or how i can go about figuring out why it's happening?

So first is to see if PPP based if that session drops, if not run an MTR whilst it is happening which will show where the traffic dies.
