Loadshedding and large scale network maintenance are creating authentication storms so radius gets backed up, we are tweaking it to manage these situations.
Lesson learned, no updating firmware right after loadshedding ends :D

I was online all the way through loadshedding thanks to batteries, then decided to do the firmware update at exactly the wrong time :)

This has been actioned I believe, just need to pay the invoice and you're good to go.
Hi,

Yes I have received the notice earlier, but I'm yet to receive the invoice to pay. Nothing shows unpaid in the coolzone and there is no notice on my email as well.

In the mean time the speed is showing +- 500 to 600Mbps locally already.

Might not be instant but I am sure it will be quick, give them a call quickly. So far I have never held on longer than 5 minutes before someone assisted me.

"Urban VPN is powered by the Urban VPNr's community (Peer-to-Peer) VPN. All our users help each other unblock the internet, by sharing their network resources" This sounds dodgy

It's a another version of TOR?

We do not cap, or rate limit any services.

As per our terms for a 1Gbps service, we reserve the right to shape international traffic to 100Mbps.

But we don't. Ask @jannier

It's never been an issue, hence we don't bother.

We do still reserve our rights in the sense on the 1G service that it is 1G local, and 100M international, but we we've had no need to enforce it, and we don't shape or need to. But you are going get the best we can provide.

We have enough capacity to provide that kind of service, even internationally.

But we will not entertain complaints about not being able to receive a 1G international service internationally since it's actually more about the ability of your home network, the fibre provider and other factors, such as RTT that we have no control over.

So we're simply covering our asses.

But feel free to speak to @jannier and others about what our 1GB service is like.

We don't shape any of our services. It's simply easier to get more capacity, local, or international.

We provide free Gigabit services to more than 140 schools, and believe me, they use it, and it's not a major concern. Our only concern is if people pull a "dick" move, hence our SLA/terms.

Hi, Sorry I have been out of the loop for the last few days, just catching up on the posts here.

As @TheRoDent says, they don't shape international 1Gbps as per their "small print".
If all conditions are favorable I can easily get between 700 - 1000 Mbps on international.
But then I also have to point out, I do not abuse this generosity from CISP.
I download what I need (work files) at blistering speeds and get done, I don't run file server or torrents or anything like that.

it's not dodgey. i have used it for 3 months so far.
i have used it with SG TCP Optimizer (https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php) using these settings provided by this youtuber Lamp (
).

To use those settings with the current SG TCP Optimizer chose custom on the bottom right. If no empty to select then it's default or otherwise disabled.

Thank you for the feedback, I'm also not a "downloader" so I will not abuse it, but the games are getting HUGE these days and the speed will be nice to circumvent that issue. This especially so after downloading MS Flight Sim.

We also consume all or TV needs via IPTV so no download needed that way as well.

I'm happy so far, but are yet to see anything more than 650Mbps on a local CPT CISP speedtest and a 700Mbps FAST.COM speed test.
