I am in Table View and things have been fine my side, i find often when you come back from loadshedding there is major packet loss.

My speed upgrade seems to have only affected my upload speed.
Went from 20/5 to 20/30 and tried rebooting a few times and I was hit with load shedding.
Same result with only 1 device connected via ethernet.

@PBCool

Just following up on the following issue (#COOL-20200813-491979).Been having connection issues every night for a week. Wifi signal strength varies between 60-80%not sure why it is not stable but I think the main issue must be the line

If you have WIFI signal strength issues then its probably not the line. Ive had this issue where my neighbours WIFI routers are sharing the same channel as mine. You can download a free WIFI scanner off your app store, use it to find out which other routers are on your channel, and which aren't so busy, then go into your router settings and change your channel to a quiet one, and boom, it'll feel like a whole new connection.

Figured it out. Someone is flooding my connection out flat with spam dns connections. Guess I annoyed someone out there.

Someone could be using your routers dns server in a DNS amplification attack. Have you blocked incoming DNS requests on your WAN interface on your MikroTik firewall? After doing that the requests will still come in for a while but will eventually stop when they realize you are no longer responding.

No that is not the case. I am ddos attacked. All inbound on router is blocked except for 80/443 forward to reverse proxy.

Create a 2nd pppoe session, will get new ip and then disconnect 1st

Vumatel trenched connections use DHCP for assigning IP’s. PPPOE is not used at all. You are pretty much stuck with a static IP unless your ISP releases it.

Thank you, looks like the attack stopped, but now my ont and router only connect at 10Mbps instead of 1Gbps. Really odd timing for this to happen. Did create a ticket for the ont speed issue.
