Can you share a 5 minute MTR please?

It seems to behave better at the moment, but I still get 1-2%,

it was not as bad as this earlier, it would shoot up to 16%.

I have had loss at many times in my playtime with CSGO, but never as intermittent as this. I switched DNS prior to the MTR and it would be worse on Cloudflare DNS, but at the moment it is the same whichever DNS I use.

Just a heads up. Not sure if CISP noticed this, but your upload system might be broken. I have an issue with my line being down, so I uploaded a picture showing the status of my router not having an internet comnection.

the message of my description gets sent, but the PNG of the attachment I chose to upload doesn’t.

Down in Wynberg, Cape Town. Octotel. Kicking myself now for not having cancelled last month.
We don't see any specific issues on our Octotel infrastructure, we are still receiving traffic on our VLAN's. Possibly an area specific or POP outage?

Just a heads up. Not sure if CISP noticed this, but your upload system might be broken. I have an issue with my line being down, so I uploaded a picture showing the status of my router not having an internet comnection.

the message of my description gets sent, but the PNG of the attachment I chose to upload doesn’t.
I take it this is in the ticketing system ?

DNS shouldn't make any difference to the server. I do see that on the last hop 155.133.238.59 on your MTR there is some loss, but it is after the handover on NAPAfrica in Joburg to Valve, so it does appear that it might be more related to their network.

Up to the transit point (196-60-9-22.ixp.joburg) it seems clear.

Like I said in the CSGO thread it is only this game with which I am experiencing this odd behaviour.

I have no issue with CoD or R6S which is local. Neither do I have loss with Tarkov.

Weird, would you have an IP for CoD or Rainbow6 ? Will add them to our ping trackers, see if we can pickup something.

You must keep in mind there is a heck of a lot of loadshedding going on multiple times in the day in same areas. Maybe the batteries at your pop did not have enough time to recharge from the previous outage, or the generator did not kick in or ran out of diesel. Just imagine with all this loadshedding, FNO's have to keep multiple pop's all over the country running. A hickup in diesel logistics can cause issues.

So do not blame your ISP or FNO too quick. ESKOM is the problem.

WACS S1i Congo Repairs: Repairs still in progress. ETR 08 Feb 2020. WACS UK Repairs: S4 break ETR has shifted from the initially communicated 03 Feb to 11 Feb 2020. With both breaks in mind, the end-to-end WACS repair date is therefore 11 Feb 2020.

Can you please check on this ticket again COOL-20200202-372581 . Frogfoot called now and said this is an ISP issue. Very frustrating and family wanting me to change providers already :(

He's on Octotel, they use GPON. I thought GPON doesn't need gennies or UPS'?

But yeah ESKOM is without a doubt, a problem.
