Hi @PBCool :
#COOL-20191212-351786 - frequent downtime from SADV.
I've contracted SADV for RCA, they say to contact my ISP. Please help?

#COOL-20200210-376222 - In light of the frequent downtime, I lost connection again last night, I called SADV directly as there was no broadband light on the ONT. SADV informed me that is was planned downtime. I checked your announcement page, and found the entry. Why are you not notifying customers of planned maintenance? no email? and I'd expect an SMS as I'm not checking my emails over the weekend?
Or am I expected to check your announcements page everyday?

I see this as a win tbh. This extended break from any online gaming has forced me to go play solo story driven games again. Thanks WACS S4 UK.

I am quite enjoying seeing some people who thought the grass was greener somewhere else bitch and moan about speeds now meanwhile i'm sitting streaming in full HD :) i would like my normal ping back though...

Will investigate for you, regarding updates for particular areas we are working on better mechanisms. Realistically there shouldn't be outages or maintenance every day, so you should only have to check the announcements page only when you are down really.

I've had about 5 or 6 time outs on my connection. Octotel, Southern Suburbs Cape Town. All lasting in the region of 1 - 5 minutes. I've reset all my hardware multiple times. Is anyone else having an issue in the region? @PBCool

My boss lives out that way and he's on Openserve and has had pretty much the perfect internet experience maybe Octofail issue? They horrible in an area near me like beyond horrible

Mine isn't as often as yours but it does happen to me too. Also Southern Suburbs.

Woke up to no internet this morning. PPPOE just keeps trying to connect. All lights on ONT to fibre seems okay.

Same Area same issue ( Octotel west beach 100/100 ).
Have turned power off on ONT for 10 minutes , restarted but no pppoe connection, all lights green .
