I guess I'll bring this up again then.

The Escape From Tarkov Brazil servers are reporting 330+ ping instead of the 140 it used to be when you organized it to use SACS. I didn't really push it earlier as I though the WACS cable might have had something to do with it.

I don't think this is the proper SACS route.
Check now, we disabled peering with GCore as there are other games they host that you can't select the correct server if I'm not mistaken. SACS wasn't affected by the WACS break.

Does this tracert look normal to a server in Frankfurt Germany? Its the Elder Scrolls Online EU Server. I'm still getting 220+ to the server. Such a massive jump between hop 5 and 6 :(

I honestly don't know who Gcore is nor how their other games impact EFT. If you're referring to BSG or Battlestate Games as far as I know they've only ever made one game; Escape from Tarkov however there's a strong chance I'm uninformed here.

G-Core Labs is the hosting company Battlestate Games uses to host the Tarkov servers in South America and some other regions.

G-Core also provides hosting to other game developers, which is why PBCool said if they enabled it, some other games that don't allow you to change servers would be affected.

I see. So G-Core is just an independent hosting company? BSG has never disclosed who they use for their hosting and my knowledge on South American server hosting companies is a bit lacking :laugh:

I wonder who BSG will use for our servers and whether they'll put them down here or in JHB.

@PBCool If G-Core using SACS is an issue for other games they host will this be a temporary thing again?

Hi @PBCool Any updates to my ticket. Been more than 2 weeks now of constant disconnects and I keep getting told Frogfoot will send someone out but again I'm sitting with an extremely frustrated family having to restart the router 10 times a day to get the internet back on.

I cannot even escalate to Frogfoot myself as they flat out refuse to speak to me.

There is a rep here on mybroadband you could try DM they respond to individuals (from what i have seen) you can find them the rep made a comment here -> https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/frogfoot-performance-issues-in-george.1058215/page-3 People on the other side of the main road have frogfoot and are having the same issues currently where their network keeps disconnecting

This has been escalated to our GM as FF just isn't coming to the party, false promises and no urgency.

"I have had a call from xxxx who is one of the senior support engineers and they mentioned that the fibre line levels issue was attended to however their management system is still picking up inconsistencies. they are working to segment the issue and will provide me with an update within the next half an hour" Is the feedback today.

And at first they blamed isp , what if he took frogfoot word for it and moved to a different isp , and problem was still there .
It so easy to blame other party.

Seeing quite a bit of this in a neighborhood group for my area people been blaming CISP for their dropped connections etc meanwhile there are tons of other posts from people on other ISP's complaining about the same issue and whats common between all the people... Same FNO... Frogfoot or Octotel... But they blame the ISP

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still not impressed with the way the installer did things as well. They never actually tested the line from the ONT. Not sure if they do this during fibre installs or do they only test from the street.

Morning, @PBCool

First of all thank you for the amazing support over the past few weeks.

Can you please have a look at my tracert to the LoL EUW server below. Whereas I used to have 154ms in-game before the WACS break, I now have 184ms (am I correct in assuming that the WACS connection is now fully functional?).

Received this feedback from CISP - I requested them to find out more info with regards to the intermittent downtime on SADV:

With the event of the Load Shedding that's happening I cannot, nor SADV guarantee the state of this intermittent until further notice.

Do many of you also experience downtine due to loadshedding on the FNO side?

Vumatel trenched if you run a UPS you can stay up during loadshedding perfectly fine. We don't have a UPS but when power comes on i get connected instantly, i'm up within 5-10 seconds of router booting. I sometimes will have to do a random router reset because the internet will be slow after it comes back but after the reset everything is back to normal.
