Yeap, we're back to our usual routing and best latencies.

I still cannot wait for "Quantum ethernet".... Perhaps then I'll start playing FPS games again.

I was pinging google.co.uk and yahoo.com during the previous mtr's posted. I was just trying to ping sites less likely to have a local host even though my local ts was also sitting on around 15% packetloss at the time

A good non-local IP would always be queen.cisp.co.za where we generally control international routing.

Google.co.uk and yahoo could be a local CDN, or not, who knows.

From your posts however, it seemed it was more local than international which could indicate and FNO congestion issue.

Cool, so it seems those IP's resolved locally to JINX which could indicate a backhaul issue from CPT to JNB, or an FNO issue

But your firsthop losses, seems like it was more an FNO issue. 154.0.0.1 in Joburg on our network should always be clear, unless we have an issue.

In Cape Town, if we suck on 154.0.0.235 it's typically a last mile issue.

CPT - 154.0.0.235 is one of our core routers.
JNB - 154.0.0.1 is one of core routers in Rosebank.

Then I ask them if they have enough backhaul during peak times, and they'll say "Hell yes".

Queue Octotel 12 months ago. Granted, at least they (FF) will at least deploy an ME testing device under duress. They're not bad in that sense, but it takes several escalations to get that done.

Parklands (basically across a main road from me) is always suffering from issues with Frogfoot I am lucky that my side of the area is on Vumatel. We have a fairly large neighborhood Facebook page and people are always complaining and the one thing which is common with all of them is Frogfoot. They recently added another 40G I think it was to their backhaul but people are still suffering. Same in Milnerton which is not far away same congestion issues

Well it seems to be routing too USA,

Probably a routing issue, as the source IP indicates Geo Location in UK and Germany.

Thanks for the comparison. Yeah a few days ago I was also getting 220ish. This morning wanted to log in and play some ESO and was a big NO lol Thought it was all the issues with Frogfoot in PE(they were busy with maintenance as well) but I could access all other sites and log into other games.

Hits that last uvu-cust.coolideas.co.za hop then dead.

I see one of the hops hits the US. Strange that it would go to EU then US then back to EU again

Looks like there are some authentication or connectivity issues - ONT is connected, but PPPoE session won't connect.

Called in and the lady said there's a ton of customers calling in about it and they're looking into it.

Sorry for the delay, have you logged it? If it isnt authing it's probably a provisioning issue and you are trying to auth on someone elses Radius.

He could verify that with a pppoe scan ? If his router capable of it.
