Thank you so much. I hope it can be solved. I can't do 160ms ping after having 16ms.. Much appreciated. It looks like they may have de-peered the route servers, we have engaged with their noc.
I use CloudFlare DNS.Well MS peers in Cape Town, so I imagine a lot of these issues aren't massively based on services originating from JHB, steam may use akamai which would then use our cluster in JHB.
Which DNS are you using?
Tracing route to vip0x008.map2.ssl.hwcdn.net [209.197.3.8]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms Internet [192.168.1.1]
2 3 ms 1 ms 1 ms u6u-cust.coolideas.co.za [154.0.0.246]
3 3 ms 1 ms 1 ms 100.98.0.1
4 143 ms 142 ms 142 ms 100.99.0.126
5 * * * Request timed out.
6 142 ms 142 ms 142 ms 151.139.40.3
7 142 ms 142 ms 142 ms vip0x008.map2.ssl.hwcdn.net [209.197.3.8]
So often if you don't use our DNS then akamai won't use our cluster and will use Mwebs etc, which have been congested at times, which is what steam uses for instance.I use CloudFlare DNS.
Looking at a Wireshark capture it looks like the Microsoft store is downloading from an international host.

Packetloss on the last mile so please log as normal so the FNO can investigate.
What's the IPs for your DNS?So often if you don't use our DNS then akamai won't use our cluster and will use Mwebs etc, which have been congested at times, which is what steam uses for instance.
If stuff for MS is using international then that's managed by them and how they distribute their content.
Thanks, seems as though internet is back to normal, someone must have been tinkering with somethingIf nothing on announcements please log as normal for me.
Checked Steam and it's using a server at 155.133.238.130.So often if you don't use our DNS then akamai won't use our cluster and will use Mwebs etc, which have been congested at times, which is what steam uses for instance.

Just use auto, which is 154.0.1.1 and 154.0.1.10What's the IPs for your DNS?
Thanks, I want to set this per device on my network so that's why I want the IPs.Just use auto, which is 154.0.1.1 and 154.0.1.10
It wont just use one server, it will vary depending on where the content is cached.Checked Steam and it's using a server at 155.133.238.130.
Ye, this was just the one it was using when I looked at the Wireshark capture. It's in JHB.It wont just use one server, it will vary depending on where the content is cached.
Try test this again for me?
PM me your IP pleaseStill 160
What happens if you try run via Cloudflare Warp?Okay, so my consoles will use CI DNS now just to be sure if anything is funny it's not the DNS.
It didn't help jack with the crappy Xbox download speeds but I wasn't expecting it to. I swear it must be downloading from Australia or something it's that bad.
Warp isn't going to work on his Xbox...What happens if you try run via Cloudflare Warp?
I found something very interesting yesterday at work where i have Octohel, if i run via RSAWEB to local server i get ~25 download and upload but if i use cloudflare warp my speed goes almost to the full 50/50...
Yea i realised that was kinda implying in general, its something weird where no matter what i do on RSAWEB + Octotel i cannot get more than the 25 odd download and upload but if i use that VPN for some odd reason i almost get the full line speed.Warp isn't going to work on his Xbox...
