Hi all, I went to go see the vumatel guys on sovereign rd it looks like the manhole that has all the spicing and joining of the fibre lines was vandalised last night. They broke locks on the manhole covers and cut all the fibre lines. They have installed a new manhole about 10m away so they can rejoin all the fibre lines. They said they will work through the night to get it working. So hopefully we will have internet in the morning

Idk man only reason i chose coolideas because cisp has better ping to sydney for work purposes and stability ofcourse lol but lately for gaming im getting 170ms instead of 156ms etc to Eu while my friend gets 156ms and we rank together, he doesnt even use 5ghz he uses vuma ONT 2.4ghz where i use a 3rd party router for 5ghz since ONT doesnt support it, never had issues with gaming on AH man idk if its cisp or cod mobile servers idk

This is usually related to AWS not so much the ISP, drop me a PM with the examples and I'll happily have a look?

Anyone else having consistent drops today over Frogfoot in Cape Town? This is really kak annoying when working over a VPN connection.

Sweet, I see PPPoE details on my CI profile.

While the router is in the mail, I would like to see if I can get online somehow. Is it possible?

Discovered so far:
-The MetroFibre ONT doesn't seem to provide an IP on Ethernet with DHCP on. And is not reachable with a manual IP set either. Not sure why.
-WiFi DHCP works fine, and can login to ONT. But no luck yet dialing PPPoE when connected to the WiFi.

Appreciation any suggestion/s if you may have. Thanks kindly :notworthy:
