How long does it take to generate a PPPOE username? I have been begging the connect team all day to please just generate the username and password. However I get home now and still no username or password.

What speeds are you getting? Line speed?
Was on my work line with RSAWEB we pay for 50/50 but get anywhere from 50 to 250 on the line since they don't know how to cap the line speed and keep it stable

I've just about had it here. I've been trying to get my new fibre working at the place I moved to since 5 days ago. Someone logged the whole configuration wrong with Vuma, which itself took days to unravel (this might be partly due to my own fault in logging a different ticket for the same thing).

Problem identified: the ONT needs to be reconfigured and flushed.

This was identified by Vumatel at 8am this morning. It takes CI 4 hours to even respond to this, despite me flagging this as beyond urgent yesterday. From there it's a train of non-communication, where I have to call to ask what the hell is going on.

How can this reconfiguration be taking so long? After 3 years with CI I'm a little crushed that this is being botched so badly. I'm supposed to be speaking at a webinar tomorrow, which I'd deliberately pushed thinking we'd surely have our fibre up 4 days into our move. Now, I'm utterly screwed :I

Hi, Sorry to hear of the frustrations! This is usually an incorrect address captured with Vumatel and requires them to have their dev team manually intervene. Do you have your ref number for me? I'll see what I can do from my side.

That's exactly the issue. The address was captured incorrectly on the 25th or 26th, but only identified yesterday by Vuma. Then this morning the provisioning error.

If there's any way you can light a fire under everyone's ass, it would be much-appreciated.

@PBCool Need some help on this ticket please, earlier, i had line speed issues, i was getting around 10 down 5 up on a 50/50 line, so i logged a ticket around 11:30 or so, a guy from CI called and said theres an error on the line, vuma should resolve it, but now since around 12:00 i now have no connectivity at all, my router is showing an Orange/Red light, and im completely down now.

I’m battling to understand this… I had an active working line 48 hours ago… supersonic release the line and now I have just had feedback that my ONT can now not be located for provisioning…. I call SADV and they locate the line and confirm the FSAN number and can see the line? 2 days to get a line provisioned and stories that aren’t making sense??

I'm giving this 24 hours and then cancelling it all. Cool Ideas always cost more, but the support always made up for it.

This is now beyond inconvenience. I've spent more on data than I have on my monthly subscription.

Unfortunately it's not something in our control, we are escalating as much as possible, apologies.

SADV isn't Vumatel, we have to apply via Vumatels platform. Probably why you may have mixed feedback. I am chasing for feedback once again.

Update is:

SADV cant pickup the ONT for activation ... they sent it to the install teams for booking for them to install a new ONT

@PBCool any movement on this? MFN down again completely this morning. 3rd time in October now. I can’t take much more of this…..

They are splitter/splicing domes, basically where fibre meets and is joined or it's split via it's pontree. They typically aren't valuable but are sometimes assumed to contain copper.

Hi, will need to wait for feedback from MFN, it's very possible it's unrelated and is a backhaul issue or something else etc. I will try get some feedback, apologies for the frustration.

Can you rather not use the router and use your PC, their CPUs are typically designed to do networking stuff and not general computing.

@PBCool Need some help on this ticket please, earlier, i had line speed issues, i was getting around 10 down 5 up on a 50/50 line, so i logged a ticket around 11:30 or so, a guy from CI called and said theres an error on the line, vuma should resolve it, but now since around 12:00 i now have no connectivity at all, my router is showing an Orange/Red light, and im completely down now.
@PBCool please can you get somebody to assist or escalate this ticket, it's going for 24hours now without an internet connection, I need this resolved urgently please.

Both my wife and I are working from home, and we require an internet connection.

We have already gone through quite a bit of data so far.

Please can you or somebody look at this ticket and assist with getting internet connection resolved.
