What is up with Frogfoot in Strand today? The internet connectivity has been iffy for some time, but today it was problematic, and I see now that both the "broadband" and "service" lights are dead. Frogfoot is doing very little in some places to prove any reliability.

To add, the outages are reported on their website.
Good day Fulcrum, Thank you for your post. Kindly note that we were experiencing connectivity issues in Strand yesterday. However, please note that this has now been resolved. Thank you.

So random question, there seems to be a crap ton of websites blocked after connecting to Cool Ideas. Punched in my details, auth and everything was successful, hell even MyBB is currently successful however sites like speedtest.net just respond with ERR_TIMED_OUT, https://community.ui.com/ just fails to load web page content entirely.

Iv tried both Cool Ideas DNS servers, OpenDNS, Google ect. Currently using ones I know work 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.

Speedtest Tracert:

1 1 ms <1 ms 1 ms unifi.localdomain [192.168.1.1]
2 3 ms 2 ms 2 ms u3f-cust.coolideas.co.za [154.0.0.123]
3 3 ms 3 ms 2 ms 100.99.1.225
4 3 ms 2 ms 2 ms 100.99.1.250
5 4 ms 3 ms 5 ms fastly.ixp.joburg [196.60.8.13]
6 3 ms 2 ms 4 ms 151.101.130.219

Setup, Ubiquiti Dream Machine connected to a Balwin AIO router.

@PBCool please can you help me with a ticket with a weird billing thing that has happened to my line?

Ticket: #COOL-20211201-827544

Have been on the phone quite unsuccessfully with your call center for the last 20 minutes - they recommended I send an email requesting a downgrade, but the question that they weren't able to answer is what happens with the higher bill (R949 vs R770) for December due to the unrequested upgrade.

It's the MTU setting on your router, what is it currently set to?

Sounds like an MTU issue. You need to set it lower and then see if your problem goes away. Then if it does, find the correct size it should be.

Not since posting here, last contact was me calling the support line and being asked to send an email to request a downgrade from Jan 2022.

The call center agents weren't sure what to do re December though

Really didnt know about this, thank you.

I see on Ubiquiti it now falls under MSS Clamping, when I get back to the house Ill start dropping it by 8 till I find the range that works, thank you everyone.

Odd. My router couldn't even get an IP. Seems to be back now, but apparently happened earlier this afternoon also.
