This outage for cpt areas, my internet is still slow. MsTeams calls are dropping.
Dont know if this is related to the outage or specific to me .
Alright will do most definitely, haven't been able to game in 5 months.I did escalate it then as well which typically resolves the issue, if it was loss on Octotel and now on Vumatel its a different thing to tackle. Apologies
In future PM me with updates so I can keep on it if need be?
Sounds like you're unlucky.Alright will do most definitely, haven't been able to game in 5 months. So what happens now? What have you looked at so far or what is your course of action? What is the problem if its been on 2 different FNOs and 2 ISPs?
I've been on Cool Ideas prior for 2 years at previous residence on Vuma Villages before moving (2020-2022), the connection was flawless and I've been a huge fan of Cool Ideas and singing their praises non-stop on this forum on my main account and elsewhere for that reason, best ISP I've ever used, so I have faith, but support has been lackluster during the recent time I've been with them, traceroutes are fine and they can't find the problem so your tickets get ignored.Sounds like you're unlucky.
Only had fibre for just over half a year or so now and only one FNO (Vumatel).
CISP has been very reliable and dependable in that time.
I feel your pain though if for some reason you had issues on two different FNOs and ISPs.
Stick with the best ISP and see if they can pressure the FNO in question to solve your issue issue.

Hi There. Apologies to hear of this. I will be sure to look into it@PBCool @TheRoDent
Can I please ask you if you can escalate #COOL-20220430-923164 for me? Seems like the feedback has been more or less stuck the past few days with the feedback I get being "We are awaiting feedback from the FNO"

This is managed by AWS and their transport/transit network. Seems they flip between paths.I just wanted to point out an issue that I've noticed for a long time now, although it doesn't affect me much but it might be annoying for people who play Fortnite on Bahrain servers.
Today again I see that latency increased by 15ms to Bahrain servers from hop 6, it seems to do this every day or 2.

I understand your frustration, especially from an Octotel perspective. It is unlikely two FNOs would have loss in the way you have experienced but is by no means impossible.I've been on Cool Ideas prior for 2 years at previous residence on Vuma Villages before moving (2020-2022), the connection was flawless and I've been a huge fan of Cool Ideas and singing their praises non-stop on this forum on my main account and elsewhere for that reason, best ISP I've ever used, so I have faith, but support has been lackluster during the recent time I've been with them, traceroutes are fine and they can't find the problem so your tickets get ignored.
I just want to know where the problem lies, it's been 5 months now of this issue. Gaming is a big hobby of mine.
I will keep pressure on, hopefully @PBCool will manage to finally find the problem, spent enough with them with multiple ISP migration and installation fees.
As you say. How can it be an FNO issue if I've had this problem on 2 different ISPs and FNO's - Octotel/RSAWeb+Cool Ideas and now Vumatel/Cool Ideas? What could it be?
This is the strangest **** I've ever had with an internet issue. I just can't understand given I've isolated every possible issue and how they still can't find the problem, I'm gatvol of submitting MTR tests now and being told it's fine, I just want it fixed.
Could be limited to KZN, I'll have a look. Thanks either way.The increased latency starts at IXP Joburg though? I also noticed latency to Durban servers seems to increase to 10-30ms every day or 2 as well, also from IXP Durban. Maybe related?

We go back to our manual routing and then no Singapore route. So not so simple, VPN best bet for now.It has been a bit of a lucky packet with AWS as of late. You never know what you will get, whereas performance used to be consistent on CISP. Main reason to migrating to CISP was the optimal routing which is no longer a value add unfortunately.
What Singapore route? Only Singapore route i have is from Unitas Global and its more off then onWe go back to our manual routing and then no Singapore route. So not so simple, VPN best bet for now.
No way you can twist AWSs arm to maintain certain standards? We go back to our manual routing and then no Singapore route. So not so simple, VPN best bet for now.
