It is intermittent, been down two times (to my knowledge) in Strand. Yesterday we had scheduled Eskom maintenance, lasted about 6-7 hours, but FF only came back on ~30 minutes later. I don't know whether it is related, but FF isn't the most stable FNO in SA.

Is there no regulation in the FNO space? It seems that anyone with enough capital and/or the wrong motives can slap together an FNO, land the right contracts, and lock entire suburbs/thousands of consumers into their shoddy service, and of course alternatives aren't always available in these areas, such as in my case. Luckily Vuma were the ones who came in guns (shovels) blazing, but hell if they sucked even nearly as badly as FF and Octo, I'd be pretty damn livid. Obviously this is quite a cynical view on things, I'm sure they just got in over their heads, but when it gets to this point, something needs to be done..

Well the residents can all rally together and approach another FNO, my area was just Openserve when it was super expensive and then i saw out of the blue Vuma appear and apparently people got enough interested for them to come into the area.

Sunningdale Frogfoot is basically down like once a week at least i always see people complaining about it...

And the painful thing is, people are working from home. Not sitting around sipping tea at home. No internet makes for no work.

FF is the worst. Been down long since this morning. FNOs can at least give notice in advance.

Looks like something is up with Openserve in Centurion, getting around 1mbps on my 500mbps line, I've got a Afrihost account with the same issue.

Please log as normal for me.
Have done so (COOL-20220602-944849). Got at least three other people in the same suburb (Irene) with the same issue, I've told them to please log an issue with their ISP.

Yeah Openserve seems to have capacity constraints on one of their paths in the area, this isnt the first time.
