will the speed upgrades include vuma reach users or just the vuma core users?

Hi @PBCool , any thoughts on implementing a debit order system? I often forget to pay.
You can also schedule a recurring EFT payment. Simply select the "recurring/instant EFT" option on the invoice when logged into coolzone to get the reference for your account. Schedule a payment on the 1st of the month and we will automatically pick it up.

Can anyone explain the difference between Openserve’s data only vs line + data packages? Would a home user be able to drop to the data only package?

I believe a home user can go data only but then you don't have the support of the ISP in resolving issues ... that's how it was explained to me

It's not really relevant anymore because everything is uncapped now, but say for example you are paying for a line + data through Afrihost, you can then pay for a data only account through CISP and use the PPPoE details they give you so you can switch between ISPs whenever you want.

This was mainly useful in the capped days where you could order a line with a small cap through one ISP and get a Vox fatpipe account to get more data. The only use case I can see for it now would be if you want to change between networks for some reason.

This, buying data only just allows you into another network e.g. if ISP X is down you can hop onto ISP Z.

Openserve don't hold you hostage to using 1 ISP like other FNOs

Are Twitch streams, especially SA streams ever going to stop having buffering issues?
If you are watching a stream and it buffers vs a European one it's probably related to the streamer, which is why we have things like relays etc to assist.

So this is what Death was talking about Twitch is preferring France peering and it lags like crazy when you connect to certain streams mainly SA people, when it peers in the UK this is not the case

We have tweaked some routes, specifically things like Gaming peers to pref using LINX. Have you seen any differences?
Yep definitely seeing a difference thanks. Watched a couple local and international peeps without any buffering. Seems that streams are being pulled from London again

The data-only package is simply there if you're already paying another ISP for the line, and want to use one of our accounts as well.

Similar to DSL in the old days. Someone still needs to pay for the Line, so if the line is migrated to us, the line fee will be added to the the bill. Else, you can stick with your old ISP (paying for the line+data) and have a "backup account" with us.

We did this because some users wanted the "try before you buy" option.

Only works on Openserve.
