This is not cool...
Basically, new customers win indefinitely and your loyal customers get a raw deal.
How does this work?

The option was there to upgrade so I'll fight this if need be and I'm pretty sure and hope others will too!
Unfortunately it's motivation by Vumatel to try get new subscribers as well as migrations from other FNOs. Hence the promo applying to new customers. It is not something we decided on.

What's the signup process for this? Just get everything done on the website and get a reference before 5PM ?
Line needs to be released today, basically those products from Vumatel are available from last Friday to today if that makes sense.

And as one of the biggest ISP's you can't say to Vumatel that this is not cool and we're being unfair to our existing and loyal customers by doing this?
Something is fishy here and it honestly seems like you guys are playing the blame game

Vumatel will just laugh and ignore.

Cool Ideas are 100% at the mercy of any stupid shyte Vumatel decide to implement like that.

wait, hold on, i spoke to your sales and told them my line will only get released end December, she said it was fine, so long as i placed the order today and the billing will only commence once my line is activated with you guys for the R599.

You are saying thats not the case?

Sorry man.. just some clarity. I'm on Openserve currently so I'm thinking the "release the line" bit does not apply to me? So I can just go ahead and replace it?

You would form part of a new application/reconnect (if you had fibre then disconnected)

I'm currently with openserv with another ISP (never been with CISP). There is however an existing vuma/raycore box here (working or not I cannot say), so I'm guessing I choose this option when signing up?

Edit: And 12 month clawback fee would be ?

Vumatel charge an installation fee last time if i recall was R2750 (might have changed) the ISP covers it but if you leave within the first 12 months you are liable to pay the pro rata of the installation fee so e.g. if you leave in month 9 you will be liable to pay 3 months of the installation fee

Which is weird as there is an existing installation right.. but cool, thanks for the response.

Did you refer to the black Friday Promo? Who did you speak to as the lines need to be ordered today.

yes, i spoke to 2 people and they both confirmed it, the last guy(from sales), not too sure his name said he'll get his manager to call me back and confirm it also as they said, they aware that almost no isp is going to release the line same day for us to take this up so your comment here doesnt make sense.

@PBCool is it worth logging a ticket for these upload speeds internationally and locally to Cape Town? Or is this a problem on your end? Ran a pingplotter and everything is clear.

Is there any sort of ref I can use to trace your account?
