Used to be Tplink C20 for 100Mbps and C5/6 for anything above. But we do some Cudy routers now as well for entry level stuff.Would also like to know, for both 500mbps and 100mbps

any news on this?
It's not as simple as we have a report from Vumatel for particular backhaul links and areas, which are then particular customers and estates. And there are about 40 backhaul links in question. So I will follow up with the SDM on what they have managed and get the one to you at least.I’m just going to assume that there was no report sent from Vuma. Might as well just cancel my line since there is no feedback from CISP or Vuma on the matter.
This seems fitting...Not sure if this the right thread but shout out to Mercy from the call centre who went over and above to sort me out yesterday!
Fibre network/fibre line is having issues your second hop is where they pickup your traffic and the packet loss is there alreadyWas going via u6u-cust.coolideas.co.za: disaster
After a few restarts it was routing via u6t-cust.coolideas.co.za: disaster
Finally restarted and it's routing via u6q-cust.coolideas.co.za, and not dropping packets.
This happens almost every day and the only solution is to reconnect and pray the routing changes.
Also, it is clearly falling back in a consistent order so I can only assume there is a human or machine @ coolideas that is well aware of the problem?
Do you have a default route under IP Routes. It's been a while since I played with DHCP client on mikrotik but I'm convinced I've done everything correctly.
So I got informed that Vuma has activated my line. I then:
Plugged lan 1 of raycore into my mikrotik port 8
Disabled my current openserve PPPOE dialer
Created new DHCP client interface on eth 8
Created masquerade rule on eth 8
Enabling the dhcp client gets an IP and if I do an IP scan on eth 8 I get lotsa IP addresses. I even pinged one of those ip addresses from my laptop successfully as a test. But when I try to ping out to a different IP I get nowhere. Traceroute stops at 1st hop.
Did I miss something ?
Also laptop into raycore with DHCP can you browse/trace/pingDo you have a default route under IP Routes.
Can you ping 1.1.1.1 from the terminal interface in the mikrotik using winbox or under the tools menu.
Without knowing your firewall and or other rules beyond that I can't help easily.

Good suggestion.. will give it a bash in a fewAlso laptop into raycore with DHCP can you browse/trace/ping
Also MTU. Try dropping it 1492 on your ether8. I type this connected to a RB4011 on Vumatel trenched with the same precise setup.Indeed
Nope
Yeah understood... just thought it was maybe a common issue that's happened before.
If I can't get it right I'll just reset the 'tik. I still have a functioning openserve connection so not a trainsmash to have to wait a bit.
Thanks for your comments.
Honestly sounds like you are on the unprovisioned VLAN on Vumatel trenched. PM a rep your IP and they can confirm but that's what it feels like. So line is active true but it hasn't been given or take by Cool Ideas so its like you have no ISP and internet breakout.Indeed

PM me the IP you get? I see 4 random IPs from that range that shouldn't be in our routing table so might be a dupe.Plugged in the laptop and I get the same result
