Actually funny to see people complain about 170 or so ms ping. Until recently I thought it was a good day when I got to play with minimum 300ms ping.
Normally I don't pass 20 except the occassional blip. It's only in the last week or so that this ping rollercoaster has been happening. They seem to resolve it pretty quickly but there's been a different reason each time. But clearly there's some underlying issue that needs addressing.Actually funny to see people complain about 170 or so ms ping. But seeing these complaints, I'm wondering if joining CI is a good idea. Especially since I'm sitting without Fibre for 3 hours now while I wait for them to take over my line!!!
Not to thrilled right now
Not necessarily. CISP have multiple routes so will switch between them. Of concern is the packet loss on hop1 and hop 2.
I logged off wifi. Using mobile which is more reliable past few daysHaving connections issues again with Whatsapp and cool ideas.
Works perfectly on MTN LTE.
Thanks for the update. So we can except normality tomorrow?Just as an update on the flapping of services, there is a border router that keeps playing up. We suspect it's due to an increase in traffic over the period, so an emergency change is scheduled for 4am tomorrow morning. But the team is aware of it and are on it.
Yes well we believe the change we are planning should stabalise it.Thanks for the update. So we can except normality tomorrow?
I cant seem to duplicate this:Seems like it's an NLD issue, as local service in CPT doesn't have any packet loss, but Google in JHB is a little bit lossy
