Just a note to say ever since the transit changes CI has been running smooth like butter, international, IPTV, Gaming, You Tube, everything runs great without the congestion that I previously had on Home-Connect. It seems like the issues reported here are mostly localised FNO issues. I’m in KZN PMB, Vumatel trenched.

Latency seems good today. DL speeds around 30% of what i should be getting. Network Congestion?

Getting a lot of packet loss to EU today. Traced to one of the DE servers and it seems to be starting inside CISP's network?

Loss to multiple Apex servers in EU. Seems intermittent, but consistently been happening all day. Southern Suburbs, Octotel. uktest.cisp is mostly clear, left it running for a while:

The 1% of loss in this trace is happening on your line by the looks of it :(

Never affected gaming to the extent it has today, but I guess anything's possible with Octotel. I have an open ticket RE the line I haven't had any feedback about since last year:

Octotel probably won't do anything about 1 or 2% loss to be completely honest with you.

The last response as per the ticket:

Thank you for the results.
We have provided them to the Network Operator and are following up with them.

We will provide feedback as soon as it is received.

I'm having a very strange issue. Traffic to specific sites timeout. They are perfectly reachable on mobile network but not on cool ideas. I have just moved over to this ISP and was never an issue prior. An example is reddit, it just times out. Ping is fine though. Any advice?

Hi which router are you using and on which fibre provider?

Yeah so it's an MTU setting you need to change. I think it's MSS clamping and you need to disable it. Other members can probably chime in.

Vumatel has re-provisioned the line. I have rebooted everything. Was fne for a few hours. for the last 20 min i am getting random disconnects from online gaming servers. Line froze a few min ago and now we get slow speeds again. Feels like im am going down the same road i had on Frogfoot with the service not being stable.

Any loss on an MTR at all? Trying to ascertain if backhaul or last mile.
