Yes, sort of. Its basically same price as I'm paying right now, but for 150/150, when they do the upgrade. I must however buy a gigabit router myself to accommodate.

I honestly don't need the speed upgrade, 100mb is ample for my needs.

Then you just leave your setup as is and you will get 100/100.

Is the 100/100 package falling away and being replaced by a 150/150 package at the same price?

They give no options in the mail to retain your current setup. Only info on how to upgrade successfully etc. I dont pay for things I dont want, so why should I just 'leave it' as is?

@PBCool, I opened a ticket but not really getting anywhere, but basically in the management console under Services I still see my Octotel line for my previous residence listed as Active:

View attachment 1454731

Is there no way to remove this?

It's confusing because it allows me to select this service to make changes, e.g. line upgrade, cancellations, etc.

Does anyone else have this problem too?
Following up on this.

I just asked support what happens if I cancel this service that isn't mine anymore and the response was:

If you cancel the line it will be cancelled for the next person to use it.

This seems like a bad design, I shouldn't be able to cancel a line at a place I haven't lived in for almost a year and don't own. I'm also pretty confident that there is somebody using that line (it's a rental unit).

Well you just said the upgrade is for free so you not paying for anything "you dont want". They are clearly trying to remove the package from their service offerings thus giving everyone the upgrade.

If you dont want to upgrade the router then dont, there is no need to be on a 1Gbps router, you will just still be limited to your 100/100.

Yeah the old service should have been terminated when the cancellation rolled over. Will look into it. Please PM me an account number, or email.

Hi:

Morning Paul

Line was still active with the previous ISP We logged a circuit release on 6/1 and placed an order

I see the ISP rejected the release request we will follow up with Vumatel to dispute and activate the clients line

Is that not mentioned on the ticket at all?

Hey Team,

Any updates on this? Was promised a call back to find out why Vuma rejected the line release or something but havent gotten anything today yet on why we cannot proceed with the setup.

@PBCool I had Vuma techs at my house today and they are telling me that there is nothing wrong with my line it's on your side and whatever else they are saying. (I did tell them it's a Vuma Village issue) and that multiple people on different ISPs are having the same problems. I asked them about the maintenance that was supposedly done in December and they said nothing was done in my area only in Alberton since a lot of people there were having issues. Pretty weird how they know nothing of all these supposed "upgrades" that are being done to fix problems. Have you heard any news from Vuma?

Fibre technicians have no visibility on what happens at network level, I will try get feedback.

Packet loss on international tonight again:

Also seems to only be inbound loss and not outbound, at least according to Teamspeak.

Yeap I can see the loss now, the team is investigating but seems carrier related.
