I see some loss along the microsoft path, but that's probably just ICMP rate limiting.
Teams.microsoft.com gives me zero loss.

However those two bounces in your traceroute at uxu-cust.coolideas.co.za looks a bit odd, that shouldn't be happening.

Can you post me the same traceroute with "Resolve names" under the WinMTR options turned off ?

It is weird that you are not getting loss. Someone else at work is hardly managing to connect a teams call, he is on vuma trenched.

I remembered mtr on linux lists all the ip's encountered per hop, maybe this helps?

PSA for Steam users. Like the Google servers locally, Steam's download servers in CPT and JHB are both absolute garbage and clearly don't have enough bandwidth capacity. Switching between them at different times of day, I've struggled to even reach 20MB/sec, on a 1gbps line.

On a whim I switched to the UK - London server, and almost fell out of my chair when the same download almost instantly saturated my line. 100MB/sec, flat out, for every game download I tried. Highly recommend you all do the same if you're experiencing poor speeds on the local servers, which are selected by default.

Octotel engineers changed my PON port, told me it would be less than an hour until I'm back online. Almost two hours later and still offline. Last time they swapped my ONT, same story, "It'll be an hour or less" and it took 5 hours being offline. I swear these guys have worse time estimation than game developers.

Yep, I have my servers permanently set to Belgium. The SA servers are a dumpster fire.

Pro tip: If an Octotel technician tells you it will take about an hour then expect it to take at least 5 hours, if they say it will be less than an hour then expect at least 3 hours.
