Your results look a bit strange.
Did you use the iperf3 tool from this link?

Where are you located?
But it looks bad yes if you have a 200/200 line.
That looks bad for everything other than an ADSL line.

Well, I don't want to speak too soon but it does look like my Octotel issue may finally be resolved. The PON port change they did yesterday seems like it did the trick. No disconnects since then. That was a painful 11 days though.

I got better results by running it from a different directory. Still seems Im getting some loss though. @PBCool is this amount what FNO's deem as "acceptable" amount of loss or should I make a ticket? Screenshot 2023-01-12 094024.png

You don't have iperf3 installed.

Follow the instructions for this thread: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/how-to-do-iperf-tests.1140605/

In order to perform an iPerf test, you will need:
  • A windows machine, and the Windows iperf client: https://files.budman.pw/iperf3.10.1_64bit.zip
  • Or, a linux machine, and the linux iperf3 client (check your distribution for installation instructions)
  • Or, a macOS machine, and the macos iperf3 client (brew install iperf3)
  • Make sure to use a cabled (Ethernet) connection to your router.

Fingers crossed.

You have to change the cmd line to the folder / directory that contains the iperf3.exe

Something like
cd c:\iperf3

If you have the folder in the root of your c drive and if that is the correct folder name.

You need to know some DOS commands.

I have done the download, and both iperf and cygwin.dll are extracted and showing green ticks, but will still not run.

You cannot run them directly. You run them from a cmd line. And you have to point the cmd line to the folder / directory that contains those 2 files.

Hi, are you having issues with your service?
Some dropping and packet loss, especially at peak hours. I just attributed it to loadshedding. I had never run iprefs before and not sure if it identifies anything pertaining to the issue. JHB Vuma Aerial.
