@linkinpark Thank you for reporting this. Please log a Support ticket so that we can escalate this through to Vumatel for you.
This is not a Vumatel issue. I would recommend you skim through the past posts on this forum to get a bit more acquainted on the issues we've been having with the NLD link between DBN and JHB for ages now. @PBCool might also be able to help.

Has Cool Ideas bumped up speeds on Octotel or will they be doing so in the future? I know Octotel had that double up promotion a while back but our line speed never actually increased? I'm on a 50/50 package.

Is there any plans from Metro Fibre to bump the upload speed on the Gigabit package to the same speed as their ISP is getting?

Hi @Genisys

At this point Metro Fibre have not provided an indication that they intend to change the upload speeds on the 1GB yet however there is a price decrease from 1 March on the 1GB from R1799 to R1299.

Hi @zolly

At this point we do not have any future dated Octotel promos in place however we have a running promo till 28 February 2023 where Octotel clients were moved to the next package in November. Kindly PM me your details for us to investigate the speed query further.

Thanks. To be honest it's not that big a deal, especially if it's only for a month or so. Was just wondering if we would be getting a speed upgrade in the near future.

Yes, I only saw it now, I have not replied yet.

But yes, it has been back up for a while.

As usual... No idea what happened.. Must no service d'or 24hrs...I must just accept it and move on.

I replied to the ticket, once again, no internet for 24 hours, no idea what happened.
I must just suck it up and move on.

Also, (as I said in the ticket), your "status"/"announcement" page still shows it as "current". Maybe it is, maybe it is not.

Thank you, but I was referring to the 500Mbps upload Metro fibre direct direct customers are getting on the Gigabit package
