I am attending a deployment from my phone ! Should I tell my boss I can't assist because i am reading a book ?
Tell your boss to plan better, ISPs go down, companies that have dependent critical support services deal with it, so what is her problem?

Sure. Are you going to take care of deadlines? You know the ones that pay my invoices, so that I can pay Cool Ideas?

We as South Africans are use to this. Loadshedding, go read a book. Internet down for 6 hours, go read a book. So easy to just give in and not expect the service we pay for
Plan better.

It's back. Athlone, vumatel
Thanks, I did see 1 other report for Rondebosch Vuamtel, a few mins ago, which is right next to Athlone. Might have been a brief flap , not seeing a report from Vumatel tho

I'm glad its back up.

Seems very stable after restoration, however my Escape From Tarkov ping to SA server is 167 which is higher than to EU (150). Somerset West, Vumatel. It should be around 20 or therabouts. Is there weird routing going on to mitigate the aforementioned issues?

While not perfect, coz never enough people who are experiencing issues, go there and click, I find that a great gauge to see if it's all the ISPs or just a particular one having issues, is to go to https://downdetector.co.za/

As of yesterday evening, only CISP had a fat red spike. The other ISPs were trucking along fine complaints wise.

I'm not 100% sure why this works but not cool Ideas, but using Cloudflare WARP yesterday I could access websites which was not possible without. Going forward use this app whenever Cool Ideas has issues in the Kitchen:

Also thanks to the user recommending it.
