CISP doesn't have a news server do they or can we perhaps sponge off the Afrihost one since they now own you guys?

Emails would have been sent to the email address on Coolzone.

Re router, yes if you cover the delivery fee of R200 we will send you one.
Hi. Does this apply to existing customers, or only new?
guys on support said the router is 750 plus 200?
I declined his generous offer.

Drop me a PM will see what I can do?

@PBCool @TheRoDent Are there plans to deploy a Blizzard/LANCache in CPT?
I am struggling with Blizzard downloads tonight from the cache :(

Everything else seems fine, iperfs are basically clean, and speedtest to JHB servers run full speed.

FrogFoot - PE - 120/120 mbps.

Here you can see its connecting to CISP's cache:

Hi, we escalated the query to the SDM, who advised that a Cable jointer has been assigned to investigate faulty splitter, but they are waiting on an ETR for the Work order.
We will update your ticket once the ETR has been provided.
Does openserve work on Saturdays? No indication of any work occurring

@CoolEscalator my Huawei ONT fell off the wall due to the age of the glue from the original Openserve installer. Small drop of about 15cm.

Now the LOS light flashes red every few seconds with zero internet. Tried power cycling but didnt solve it. Is there anything I should troubleshoot on the ONT or the little box with fibre next to it? I suspect it's the cable from the little box as it would've been under tension during the fall.

Hi, it could be that the Green Fibre pigtail got damaged during the fall, or dislodged from the ONT.
If the connector is firmly connected to the ONT, (and on the other end on the wall) but still no connection, the it will need to be logged.

Thinkspeed/Century City Connect seems to be unreliable / out of action currently. Not sure if anyone else is finding this but a neighbour in the next block is finding the same.

Edit: seems OK 30 minutes later, so a temporary hiccup perhaps.

Once again super impressed with Cool Ideas and Openserve.

Our fibre went down due to an issue with the cable to the ONT, reported to Cool Ideas who reported to Openserve with a reference number.
2.5 hours later Openserve technician was working on it and got it back up after a cable change and resplice. Cool Ideas followed up again afterwards.

Brilliant, couldn't ask for better.

HI, thank you for the positive feedback :)
Are you able to provide me with your Ticket reference, so that I can pass the compliment along?

Just a curiosity question - there been any progress on IPv6 stuff, as in possible over PPPoE on Openserve yet?
