Cool Ideas Fibre ISP – Feedback Thread 6

No issues my side, but I see the new access routers don't respond to ICMP, which might make it difficult to troubleshoot FNO packet loss if it happens in future.

Not neccecarily, it would then just show up from Hop 3 instead (hop 2 via Dial up)
But this is also quite normal for Vumatel Trench (Active ethernet), the second Hop IP being unreacable via ICMP

Thanks, this seems to be NLD related. Will report it through
Your patience is much appreciated
Thank you, strangely there's also some packet loss between hop 2 and 3 which I presume is between the access router and core router.

Should start clearing up, not entirely there yet tho.

Edit: still ongoing
Edit2: should be clear now since 21:18pm

Hi there, I checked other clients in the area (checked about 5) and all are up for multiple days.
Could be an isolated issue, to the street, your link, or internal perhaps. But not seeing any notices from MFN at this time.

Best to reboot your equipment, check connections and monitor for further drops,
If they persist, would be ideal to log a ticket for this one.
Have submitted a ticket. Problem didn't occur after this message, but has suddenly reappeared now.
Same thing. PON light flashing. No connection.
This time, though, it seems to be permanently offline.

I'm not sure why it would happen randomly like this.
The only recent change I can think of is my neighbor recently installed fibre and my line went offline temporarily as a result.

So nothing to worry about? 1st time i have seen it show like that on Ping plotter. I thought it was my router as i changed from a Huawei to a Tp-link over a week ago.
There's nothing to worry about it just drops ICMP.
