@TheRoDent Tonight is more of the same of the last 6 months for me.

Octotel 100/25

Coreix Single-Threaded:

No idea why my upload is now odd as well.

Twitch:

So its back to being not usable. Your proxy no longer helps either. I'd be impressed if you can even tell when I turned it on.

If you're at all curious I borrowed a friend's VPN and it made no difference either, to twitch, to my throughput. Oh and I tried quickly switching my router out for your guys one and it too made no difference.

Only aware of Douglasdale and Lonehill issues at this stage.

I have seen a sharp dropoff in traffic just after 8pm on our NNI with MFN.
Is there any update on what’s happening with Lonehill? Been down for a while now with no information from MFN so I’d appreciate anything info you have!

Hey man. I don't know what you're using to stream twitch but this might help.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...r-twit/bhplkbgoehhhddaoolmakpocnenplmhf?hl=en

I used to use a couple of other workarounds way back in the day to watch twitch which did something similar (stitching together multiple streams to make one functional twitch stream).
I just tried this out now and it doesn't work for me either. It did however point out in Russian just how screwed I am.

27th alternate player.jpg

You can see how my throughput is consistently under what the stream bitrate is and how it spikes in segments before dropping back to its ~300 average.

Mine isnt great either tonite, getting 25mbit down/15 up to London. This has been a consistent problem with Octotel. Funny thing is Octotel is just fine from Cape Town itself, seems they just dont have capacity for the outlying regions.

Even though it is much better than it used to be, I can only see it going downhill again until they address the problem correctly instead of just patching wounds.

What does a UDP iperf look like to trcvmh01.cisp.co.za? Back to the old lossy side again ?

Try setting the connection quality to Bad, and increase to 3 download threads.

0.016% loss here, so nothing to speak of

Edit: 0.66% for iperf.cisp.co.za

TCP is another story....

Have an issue in Durbanville as well. Real Debrid Kodi streams are buffering crazy on my 100meg. Changed to my Axxess test account all working 100%.

Changed back to CISP issue returns!

I have never had full line speed, but I am happy as long as I can watch my news shows and listen to the radio without buffering in the evenings.

@PBCool ,@TheRoDent maybe get a business whatsapp number for the 10% non WiFi issues (don't post it publicly of course) so one can have real-time chat on very spesific issues. Don't get met wrong PM and Phoning is "fine", but sometimes you need to have more "real-time" conversations..

So @TheRoDent you guys have definitely messed up something big time with Twitch.

I just watched a 3 hour live stream using vox with no issue. Switch to CI now and instant buffering.
The proxy provides little help these days as well, and as you once said it was never meant to be a permanent fix.

It's just beyond a joke now that CI can't get this right, that it has got this bad that it is required that i have a back up ISP account just for Twitch.

And this is coming from me who has been trying to get this to work - and helping your support non stop - for over 6 months.

There is only so many times I can bring this up, provide data, and wait for feedback.

Sorry I went to go do something else. There isn't much point in watching a buffer wheel. So I didn't run a test during the time.

This is from now, 10:47PM.

iperf3.exe --verbose --port 17001 -c trcvmh01.cisp.co.za --bandwidth 20M -l 1400 --omit 2 -R -u

Still nowhere near as bad as it used to be but its also not at 9pm so.

I don't know if you've set some type of limit on Iperfs running on the server but I'm now getting:

Thats EXACTLY how it seems. Night or day I can max out local (within cape town) for multi or single threaded. The second I have to leave cape town things go downhill fast. Even Johannesburg can get iffy.

*EDIT Must be something up with the DNS. If I replace "trcvmh01.cisp.co.za" with "154.0.15.181" test runs fine. Also reports no packet loss which is pretty crazy.

I am sorry that you have issues but it does not mean if you have issues the world has issues. My twitch has been on since 16:00 with not even one blip. Speedtest to London max my line up and down. There is no twitch issue on CISP, only crappy
FNO connections on the path to CISP. If Vox works use them then. Your comment to @TheRoDent is misplaced.. My 2 cents

Please can I ask you to check up on Ticket #COOL-20190325-241595
It has been another 24hours.. no update.

between 17:15 and 22:30 my line performs about on par with a 20mbps for local, and way less for international **2mbps**.

the actual line is about the best I've seen it. its usually ~-25-ish.
