Cool and all but photos simply can't convey the awesomeness of their murmurations (even if it looks like a dolphin)

I don't see the point of photoshopping something that happens as a natural occurrence regularly. I've personally seen weavers fly in formation like this and I believe it's not uncommon for starlings to do the same. It's pretty impressive when the numbers are big - the sound is incredible too. They often do it before roosting - it almost looks like a game.

I'm not doubting the beauty and awesomeness of the formations, but that first pic (OP) is just too perfect.

Given the millions, even billions of permutations their patterns are capable of producing I'm actually surprised it took so long for a dolphin shape to appear in an actual picture!

(something like the infinite monkey theorem)

I once saw them form the shape of the Golden Gate Bridge... Kidding off course. I can believe that they formed the dolphin shape, as it is in the 1st image.
