guys

jsut need some reassurance about cooling my pc system ...

firstly I dont plan to o/c ... maybe just dabble a bit ...

my rig
3800 amd cpu s/core
500w psu
1 gig ram
6600gt

at the moment the cpu runs at 40c at load
gfx card runs at 60 at load

stock std cooling .... psu fan, chipset fan, cpu fan and gfx card fan.

i have a midi case ... doesn't see to have fan spot in front ..... but there is space for fan at rear and side.

thing that has me confused ..

ON THE SIDE PANEL:

1. There is a plastic tube channeling air to the cpu fan .... should i place a fan there as well .... (80x80mm)?
2. just below this as a rectangular spot with lots of holes (90x70mm) what fan can I place there?

ON THE BACK:
1. I want to put an exhaust fan next to the psu ...

*************************
what do u guys recommend?

Those temps are fine, so i dunno why you wanna add a bunch of fans to your case.

I don't think you have much to be concerned about if you're not planning to overclock. Those temps look pretty normal to me.

Hard to answer your questions without knowing what your case looks like, or what model it is, but doubtful you need to do anything...

What I can suggest if you wanna get your graphics card's temps down (and quiten your pc at the same time ...bonus) is a Zalman VF700-Cu cooler:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zalman/VF700-Cu. I got one myself; it's great - quiet as anything.

Yeah, if you wanna overclock then those temps are way too high. But if not, don't even bother.

The zalman cooler on the 66GT will drop temps very nicely and make your PC alot quieter too.

u'r right it like like quite a thing .... how difficult was it to install tho' ...

i am a wee bit concerned about in case temp ... i would think that in winter it would sit around 30c or maybe less.

also the gfx card .... on a 66gt ... what is max temp i should be hitting if say i play fear with graphics set on autodetect? i get around 60c ... is that ok? i am thinking that it is a bit hot ....

hello there I use a AMD 4000+64 bit the best way to cool ur system will be 2 12inch fans for incase temp... and a extractor fan. That's what I use. I get about 35c for cpu and 28c for system temp.

It also depends on what chasis u use me uses the antec p180 thermelate cost more but worth for keeping kool... don't even think about buying these watercooling systems they still don't work ?effectiflly? i mean are you going to trust somthing that has water in your pc? I'm not!

need any other advise ask me I know i tried everthing o ja best fans are Zalman almost for got that you can change your stock heatsink to a 15" zalman fan with a huge mofoing heatsink try that also.

:p

btw thats while i'm playing games not bad eh?!

Are you on drugs?! If watercooling didn't work, why the hell would people use it?

My PC is watercooled and it works fine. I have a 4400+ overclocked to 2.77Ghz and my idle temperature is around 30 degrees.

Also, you probably think it doesn't work because you tested THERMATAKE watercooling, which is useless.

Decent waterccoling isn't cheap. An entry level kit that's actually worthwhile will cost you well over 2K, and high end kits come in at just below 5K.

Don't bash watercooling if you don't know anything about it.

And sdd, don't worry your temps are fine dude. If you want to put the Zalman cooler on your video card, it's very very easy, and will drop your temps nicely as well as make it quieter.

Couldn't have been easier - dunno what they're going on about in the article link I gave you.

You can then choose to run the fan at either 12V or 5V ...I run mine at 5V (so it's nice and quiet) on a 7600GT and even overclock it a bit, and I have no stability issues.
