Copy the contents of Excel book to New Book

I created a book of Tv Series and movies etc which I updated as required and renamed at the start of a new month. Somehow I lost the file and am unable to recover it so took and older file and saved it under new date.
Problem is that it does not allow me to alter the contents of this new file.
Short of recreating the book I want to know if I can copy say pages to a new book. that I will be able to edit.

check there isn't a compatibility or security option blocking you. I know the new excels require you to allow modifications on some of the older files to prevent macro abuse.

Upload it to drive.google.com and convert to Google Sheet.

Thanks guys, I copied it page by page to a new book. deleted the old book and renamed the new book.
