So about my warning yesterday that the stock market would crash if I moved stuff around and Ramaphosa now potentially putting in another lockdown...
Last question about a section 14! (normally I'd query this with Coronation or Allan Gray but they went home hours ago).
Allan Gray is asking me if I want to transfer units or money. How does the transfer of units work if the funds I want to invest in in Coronation are different to the original AG funds?
@RandomGeek @supersunbird Your returns make me drool. But I feel like I should warn you, based on past experience, I'm going to move my RA across and the stock market will crash, or dip badly. I figure you've got 2 more weeks of happiness...![]()
I meant it's a record for me. I edited out, thanks for pointing it out.
This seems to have tanked heavily now, isn't it?Resources (P) - super duper gains
But did you really move your stuff? You don't get to take credit for it if you didn't.So about my warning yesterday that the stock market would crash if I moved stuff around and Ramaphosa now potentially putting in another lockdown...
Yup. An hour after the 2 companies contacted me and said they'd started the move the market went pear-shaped.But did you really move your stuff? You don't get to take credit for it if you didn't.![]()

Have you stopped regular monthly contributions perhaps with all these providers perhaps?Have RAs with AG, Coronation, 10x and Sygnia with abt 100k in each. They've all been pretty stagnant over the last 2 years or so. The problem is the SA economy more than the funds. At this point I'd be putting money offshore if I was still earning rands. I doubt there is much in SA that will be making money grow there.

That is quite a prediction you have there. My transfer has just been completed. So. For my next prediction: the market is going to drop again.
[Updated to add] My SMS from Coronation came through on 18/11/2020 that they'd processed my application.
I suspect that is the problem. Fees must be eroding whatever little you get.Yes. Stopped contributing 4.5 years ago.
