Why dont the infected/suspected infected just anonymously upload their suburb on the dashboard amd we'll avoid going there... We'll even bring your groceries to you so you can stay home.

nice dashboard but please show us the cities.
During the early phases it was mostly travel related, so focused on the biggest economic centers. Now spreading outwards (plus the Mangaung church outbreak). A map won't show you much useful, even the provinces are equally spread by population density...

Mediclinic still insist that anyone wants to be tested must meet certain criteria, since community-based infections have not been proved

A press statement from the Minister of Health does not affect their decision

They don't have enough tests for community based transmissions. Last figure I read was that around 1:25 tests were positive (based on the existing protocols). If you test everyone, the burden on the labs becomes excessive, for limited benefit.

I'm wondering where all the gender confused people are, or did they all tick the unknown gender box on whatever NICD forms they had to complete?

Stay home? Some idiots are still bitching about walking the dog or taking a jog.

So are we still only testing people with means (who are paying for the tests privately and have travelled)

How long before the general population can be tested?

Or are we going to bury our heads in the sand on this one?

Well Health minister wants private hospitals to accept people without means, so I suspect that the labs will be testing those without means too. Either that or as someone cynical said, cough into a rich persons face and you'll soon know.

We still have such people so that will never happen

That's from the 17th
My point is we will still have such people who will refuse to be tested and quarantined even though they have been in contact with confirmed positive individuals so it much be made clear that their right to confidentiality and privacy at this stage doesn't exist to protect others.
