Corruption at Eskom investigated

South Africa’s anti-graft ombudsman is investigating Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd.’s deals with 27 independent power producers, Independent Online reports, citing a leaked document.

The probe into the state-owned utility’s award of electricity production licenses to privately owned companies was started after a complaint, the publication reported, citing a letter from Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to the utility’s chairman, Jabu Mabuza.

I posted the link in the Public Protector thread. IMO it's nothing to do with Eskom, just a fightback tactic from the Zuptoids...

The IOL article tells you more than you need to know about the fake investigation: https://www.iol.co.za/news/politics/public-protector-busisiwe-mkhwebane-starts-probe-into-controversial-ipps-29985113
The complaint was laid by Phapano Phasha of a civic organisation known as the Anti Poverty Forum (APF). Phasha raised concerns about the costs to be incurred by the limping Eskom and said there was maladministration and corruption in the process. Phasha further alleges that Eskom executives were put under pressure by their political principals to sign the agreements in April 2018.
Edit: The last time the AFP were in the news, they were calling for the removal of the evidence leader at the Zondo Inquiry!? See: https://www.africanews24-7.co.za/index.php/southafricaforever/more-calls-for-top-state-capture-advocates-to-step-down/
The Anti-Poverty Forum (APF) has on Sunday appealed to the commission of inquiry into state capture to remove evidence leader Paul Pretorius and senior counsel, Advocate Vincent Maleka.

The forum believes both advocates will not be impartial, specifically when it comes to the evidence by Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.

Another investigation, the old tactics still being used, ......drag it out with so called investigations while the ANC looters roam free spending their ill-gotten gains.

Actually it does NOT really tell us much ..........

One wonders IF this has anything to do with that person that -- had to resign ?

Respected head of IPP Office, Breytenbach, asked to leave post

Mantashe must explain Breytenbach’s removal as head of IPP office – DA

As I have explained in one of my other posts ....
However
This latest "witch-hunt" of the PP is part of a MULTI-pronged approach -- a "PALACE-Coup"
or
"Et tu Brute"
