You're looking at probably about R100 - R200 per day if you get labour from the side of the road, and it should take about 2 or 3 days.....

You're looking probably at about R2000 if you get a professional company to come in and do it (and thats on the low side)

Have you seen his work though? 2k is quite a bit. Generally good painters charge around R200 a day, and that's about two days work excluding scraping (not sure why you need to?).

Erm, depends. If it's a warm day, you can do two coats in one day. But it makes sense to take one day to prime all the walls, and the next day to coat. Roof should be one coat. Why are you scraping the walls though?

Keep in mind, I'm not an expert, but I painted my place (around 85m2) myself last year, but talking from that experience.

Also, what paint you planning on using?

We recently just had 3 rooms done. Scraping, primer and 2 coats. Labour cost R2000.

Personally I would just spend the money and buy double velvet. It's pricey, but really worth it. Think it's around R400 per 5litre. You can easily wash dirt off that paint. I made the mistake of buying the Matt finish. Terrible idea, it looks great but it gets dirty way too quickly. You have to clean walls like once a month. You don't want that.

Ok, I guess scraping makes sense.

If the walls are peeling, you need to check for damp- you may need to get that sorted out first. Do you have a flat roof?

nope ..paint cost is r600 for colour at LT paints in CPT

@F1 i dont have that much :p

cause for 60sq you need around 15l and thats double the r600 for a 20L :p

Sam, I would rather get a worse painter and spend more on paint, rather than the other way around.....And primer? You buying white paint?

Builders, Makro etc. Ask LP? They should have and they are very cheap. I think a 20l is around R1200. I stand corrected though. I'm only suggesting it cause you wont have to paint for like 10 years if you buy that. It is a lot of money though.

Where you moving to?
